Absolutely wonderful - our server made us feel welcome and the drinks/food were exceptional

We've been going to this cute little place since it opened and it's always a great experience. They have excellent cocktails and something for everyone on their menu.

Came here for an anniversary dinner, and it was the perfect spot! Food was incredible, drinks were delicious, and our server Tony was so attentive! So romantic and tucked away, this place is truly a gem!

Best dining experience I've had in a very long time. Everything is cooked & served with care-no detail is spared. The cocktails rival that of a high end mixology bar and the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back.

We were 6 and were not sure what to expect. Our server, Kevin,was outstanding. He was informative and made excellent recommendations. We had their leg of lamb which was as good as any I've ever tasted. It was moist and fall off the bone ... delicious. The food including appetizers of grilled mussels, and pumpkin soup as well as a beet and arugula salad were perfect. The ambience was lovely. All in all. A great dining experience. We will be going back.

A very cute, intimate restaurant with great food. I will definitely be coming back. Loved the feta salad appetizer and baklava for dessert.

Fabulous decor!

GO HERE NOW. The food is plentiful and delicious. They’ve got some work to do on finding right vibe for a truly European feeling spot. But don’t wait until they work that out. (When that happens you won’t be able to get a table.) No pretense here. Just amazing food and terrific service. Was there anything else you need?

Out on a special occasion celebrating my birthday with my loving man and future husband, having dinner at Black and Caspian. Our server Kevin, was also the pastry chef...look for his name on the menu. He was a pleasure as was the meal. The atmosphere was quaint and intimate and food was prepared to perfection. I enjoyed the seared duck and the man ordered the Tagine. Our meal was topped off with a freshly prepared chocolate souffle...thanks again Kevin.

Dinner Friday night. Ordered martini, cheese board (Gouda, chèvre, Asiago) chicken tagine, and sole.

The server was a little overwhelmed on a Friday, and the tagine tasted fast cooked rather than the traditional way, but flavors were amazing. This is the best meal I’ve had in Chicago since arriving. If you’re searching for a break from overly sauced and fried American fare, come here!

Food (lamb shank) and wine (Juan Gil) were amazing. Shocked at the value too. Don't let this small place fool you. It's definitely worth a stop. We will be back.

I sat outside at Black & Caspian to celebrate my mom's birthday and it was a delight! I loved the seafood risotto - it was a great balance of flavor! The desserts and drinks were also tasty and the ambiance is great for smaller birthday celebrations, wine night, dinner and more!

Delicious food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. My friends and I really enjoyed my birthday meal here.

Stumbled upon this restaurant after shopping and boy were we not disappointed!!! The tajine was immaculate, the platter was insane!! Cocktails 10/10, the service was fantastic. Can’t say enough good things about this gem. Plus the cheesecake, couldn’t pass it up!! So well done

I don't know why I hadn't eaten at this restaurant yet but decided to give it a try when I had friends in from out of town. Everything was excellent. Our server Dorian was friendly, attentive but not invasive, and gave great recommendations for appetizers and wine. The space is small and cozy. Cocktails were top notch and all the food we ordered was well-prepared and presented. On Dorian's recommendation we tried the Zucchini pancakes appetizer and it didn't disappoint. Though Black & Caspian has the chops to be pretentious, it isn't, and that's why I'll definitely be back!
