Went here with my friend for a Galentine's dinner and drink. A lot went wrong. My gluten free salad came out with croutons. The fork was visibly dirty and crusty. Next, as I'm nearing the end of the salad, I find a plastic barcode in it (like the kind that's wrapped around kale stalks in the grocery store). I will note that our waitress was attentive and took care of these things right away, and the manager ended up comping my meal and drink for the bar code. But I will also note that several of the male workers- including one front of house- were incredibly touchy and staring at my friend's chest the whole night, touching our arms while speaking to us, trying to help her put on her coat, squeezing between two chairs so he could touch her, making inappropriate comments about us to another guest, etc. We were incredibly uncomfortable here and kind of scared. Will not go back and would not recommend.

We dined with dogs. One licked the floor near my feet as I ate. Ewww. We even witnessed a really, really big, hairy dog walk right into the kitchen. What a disappointment.
Our waitress was great-wasn’t her fault. The food was delicious, too, but it all just felt so unsanitary.

Ordered the black linguine - 4 shrimp, 4 fork fulls of pasta, about four cups of buttery white sauce - couldnt see the pasta, and had to shake the shrimp dry. Think Olive garden.

The service was amazing. Drinks came quick, appetizers were quick with the entrees coming basically as soon as we finished our appetizers. Wait staff were super friendly and it was clear that they were all able to help and rely on each other to keep thing running smoothly.

Excellent service and a large, very intriguing selection of food and drinks. The burger was delicious! The only downside was the insanely loud noise level. Probably not much to be done about that, except lower the music some, but it was distracting and intense.

General manager was extremely rude. We had a reservation for 7 pm for 6 people at 6:55 he walks up to our table since only 2 guest had arrived and asked “when is the rest of your party coming?” And we responded “5-10 mins” and he huffed back “I need this part of your table” and rolled his eyes and walked away. My friend later got wings which had feathers on them and he again was dismissive and just rude. As we left he said “bye feathers” so staff should be aware of who is running your business

First time we ate at Black Barrel. Went there for a Bulls pregame meal. The food was delicious. Our server, Gloria, was friendly and attentive. Ambiance was excellent. Plenty of TVs to watch the game or hang out with friends. I would definitely recommend this place.

Extremely loud too loud to the point where you can't even hear yourself talk like the music is loud. The TV is loud. The ambience is loud so you can't really communicate with the people around you go somewhere else if you wanna talk.
