I took my mom out to dinner today and we had a lovely time! We first started off with cakes, crabcakes, and then we both got our entrées She got a beat and goat cheese salad 10 out of 10. I got the shrimp poblano I could tell they used fresh shrimp. This was fantastic and to top it off we had flan and Keylime cheesecake which was fantastic. Perfect way to end the meal. Ambiance is amazing too! Very relaxing and clean.

The food and service is great. Parking was hard to find. The tables are small, it’s super loud, and people love to stand in the doorway, bringing in a draft to your table though.

Our party of 4 had a great exprience at Blue Door. As always, the food is prepared simply and perfectly. The use of sauces and seasonings is lighthanded so the flavors and textures of the main ingredients are not lost or buried. No heavy handed chef here! The menu has a variety of types of food which suited us, as grandparents, and our college student granddaughter and friend. Denise, our server, was prompt, attentve and very pleasant. Mike, the owner takes a special interest in his customers, stopping briefly by tables to ensure that things are going well. The ambiance is very pleasant and comfortable. Lighting, which is so important in a restaurant, is very good. Light enough that you don't need a flashlight to read the menu and dim enough to provide an intimate atmosphere is a busy place. Overall, an excellent restaurant which has never disappointed us. The carrott cake is awesome and apologies were profuse from Mike for running out of the S'Mores. We will be back again!

A beautiful intimate place with great service, great food, and great dessert. Great place to come with your best friends or your with partner. The staff was very attentive, especially our server Clay & Mike K. I got the brussel sprouts and the burger with a side of sweet potato fries and everything was sooo good. Can't wait to come again!!

I had the best experience at blue door! This place is my favorite spot in Lincoln Park. The service and food is impeccable. Ordered an espresso martini and the burger with girlfriends before going out and it impressed us beyond belief! Great atmosphere for all occasions and a beyond kind and great staff!

Decided to grab dinner here last minute and as always the food was yummy and the service was great. The staff kindly let us know that they were busier than usual but to our surprise the service was still exceptional. Although our waitress was really busy she was still attentive and had the food came out quicker than we expected. Don’t let a busy restaurant turn you away! Definitely an enjoyable experience and I will be returning!

First time coming to Blue Door today. Atmosphere was beautiful and I LOVED the glassware served with each meal. We had tomato soap to start. And the sesame salad / burger to share was amazing. The burger melted right in my mouth. I will be coming back!
