EVERY SINGLE GUEST (~215) has raved to my husband and me over how amazing our food was. From the tomato soup shooters during cocktail hour, to the risotto with the chicken, all the way to our milkshake dessert. Every moment of "food" was unforgettable. As the bride, they accommodated my specific dietary restrictions (celiac & pescataraian) by cooking just me a whitefish entree! We serviced gnocchi, chicken, and braised short rib so I got to feel extra special on our big day being the only one with whitefish! Missy was our main contact and we could not be happier with the way catering worked out. We even had Chick fil A as our late night.... total hit!

Blue Plate and Rachel did an incredible job for our wedding. The tasting was perfect, they worked with us on dietary restrictions (even at the last minute!) and made us feel heard. They helped us realize our vision that each hors d'oeuvres represented a personal moment in our relationship or family history. The guests LOVED the food, which is not something people rave about at most weddings. Our strongest memory from the wedding was the moment we had away from the cocktail party where we got to enjoy a tray of every hors d'oeuvres and take a moment to breathe as newlyweds! Thank you to everyone at Blue Plate for making our day so special and personal.

If I could give Blue Plate 100 stars I would! We had an incredible experience with the entire blue-plate team for our new years wedding!The entire blue plate experience was a DREAM! I could go on and on about every single detail. The raw bar was sensational. The passed apps were all perfect. The lobster roll was the a real stand out, as was the mini maki, arancini, and grilled cheese and tomato soup. The Blue Plate team took our favorite chicago burger and created a duplicate for our big day which was not only delicious but also so incredibly special. The signature drink they created was creative and and delicious. The desserts did not disappoint, and the set up of the dessert table was flawless.The professionalism of the staff is top notch and they didn't miss a beat. Special shout outs to Keagan and Brent who made our guest experience top notch and to Stephanie, Elinor, and Isabella who helped with every step along the way.Couldn't recommend this fabulous company more!

As a Wedding Planner, I've worked with Blue Plate many times for weddings, but recently had an experience that just went above and beyond every expectation I had. We worked together on a long and detailed 3 day wedding and their team (Helen + Lexi specifically) were my right hand through out the entire planning process. Their team was right alongside me for the 40+ hour weekend and their energy + demeanor never lulled. The couple + families were blown away by the food (3 very custom, cultural menus) and service. I could not be happier with the experience or more grateful to my partners in making this amazing wedding go off almost perfectly. Thanks again for everything!

I worked for them through a staffing app. I was scheduled to be a bartender from 2-7. I came I. Set up my bar, and when it was done I undid my bar. The member of management from Blue Plate in charge of me, told me I have to stay after the scheduled time in order to help their staff breakdown as a porter. I kindly explained to her that I am not a porter, nor did I sign anything saying I would be. She told me that everyone joins in order to leave at the same time. I again told her that I did not sign up to be a porter, this time I let her know of my disability and how the two jobs differ. Which is the reason I won’t breakdown tables and be a porter.. During the shift she began to slander me in Spanish, and tell a coworker that I will never work for quick again, pero mi habla Espanol mas y menos. So I reported it to the Qwick HR. I have not been offered another gig as of yet. So after reading how they have shady workers in all aspects of their operation. Other than the Chefs, the food was amazing, I don’t see how this company will do anything except continuously change names and accept money from the feds.

My husband and I had an exceptional experience working with Blue Plate for our wedding catering. From the timely communication to the tasting to the wedding day itself, our expectations were exceeded. Working with Helen and Lexi made us feel special. On our wedding day, we had guests raving about the food and service - going back for seconds, thirds, fourths, which is uncommon in my experience at previous weddings. The food tasted that good. We highly recommend choosing Blue Plate for all your catering needs - you won't be disappointed.

Leah, Jessica and their whole team from Blue Plate were absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding. Whenever I saw either of them, it was like I was seeing friends, truly. They were so communicative and helpful throughout the planning process. Blue Plate was one of our favorite vendors, not only because of Leah and Jessica, but also because our wedding food was so good! We got a ton of compliments all night. Also, the kids’ meals were a hit as well! A lot of guests also commented on how good the service was at our wedding. 10/10 would recommend, and we hope we have an excuse to host another event just to hire Blue Plate!

Stephanie Baber helped us plan and organize our March wedding. Chef Gregg was our onsite chef. I wish I could remember the gentleman who ran the show the night of our wedding.The bulk of my relationship was with Stephanie, but everyone we dealt with was great. Stephanie was the first caterer to be in touch, and the only caterer call me and chat about ideas BEFORE giving us a proposal. She was truly a gift, and a dream to work with. We felt thought about and cared for through the entire process.Stephanie knew our venue (Garfield Park Conservatory) better than any of our other vendors; I think she could've organized our wedding in her sleep. Her staff was lovely. Our guests RAVED about the food. Our cocktails were incredible. Everything consumable was really, really wonderful.Comparing quotes, Blue Plate offered us by far the most value and their tasting blew every other vendor (we tried 3 others) out of the water -- and it might've been the only complimentary tasting if I remember correctly.Thank you, Stephanie, Gregg, and Blue Plate, for making the food and drinks at our wedding so special and memorable. Blue Plate was one of our favorite vendors we chose - we were blown away with the food on our wedding day! We worked with Elinor and she was such a pleasure to work with. The linens and table settings were elegant and classic, and we had so many options to choose from to bring our vision to life. My husband and I were provided with a personal server throughout the entire night, so we got to truly enjoy the menu we invested in. We even had a plate of hors d'oeuvres and glasses of champagne waiting for us in the bridal suite after the ceremony! Our tasting was also such a fun day that made the wedding planning so special. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Blue Plate.
