I will never spend money at an establishment that practices or tolerates any kind if discrimination, banning someone because they seem (this is a quote from the bartender) “so autistic that he couldn’t, not, cause problems” for simply returning someone’s phone to it’s rightful owner is discriminatory and disgusting. This should be investigated by the Illinois liquor control commission for discriminatory and unethical business practices!

Discriminatory bartenders who think it's okay to be cruel to customers are disgusting and shouldn't be working in the service industry if they're going to be like that.

Mean bartenders who discriminate against invisible disabilities. All are not welcome. Stay away from this ableist establishment

Karaoke night on the weekends was great. Very crowded though. They check for IDs at the door, so be prepared.

Nice ppl, good vibes, but the place really does smell like a locker room. That other review wasn’t lying

Quaint but full of energy at the same time.

Friendly, kind, and funny staff that also sponsor various leagues and organizations across the city (including CMSA softball).

The Moscow mule was delicious and the music was bumping.

Thanks Bobby Loves

They will be opening a new place at the old Berlin soon, too - i will be there 🌻

Great dive bar for karaoke

You might have to wait 2 hours to get on stage for karyoke. I’ve been to a few Saturday karaoke nights. Always the same DJ. The Venmo tip placards are new. If you tip the DJ and show the Venmo receipt he will move you up to the front of the list. He will point to the Venmo qr code when asking how long the wait is. Seems like the dj’s friends who sing screamo/heavy metal get on stage frequently which is cool, but the favoritism is annoying. The dj also seemed to not care about the length of the list because he enjoyed to talk between performances which was only 30 seconds, but with such a long wait, he needs to be more considerate of time. Most annoying thing last night was the dj getting on stage to sing a song after we had been waiting for 2 hours to sing. Very small, cute bar otherwise.

I do not know how to describe the fowl smell here. I came here last weekend with friends and tried again this weekend but it makes me nauseous, and the rest of my friend group (a couple of them regulars) can't take it either. Cell Block smells better than this.

Was hoping to get my basement flooded but instead it smelled like flooded basement. $8 for a well drink in Boystown isn't terrible but not great either. Bartender was the best part of the experience.

Amazing bar. Great KJ, such fun and friendly clientele, and amazing bartenders. Legitimately everyone is so nice here and it's really community oriented.

If you want to sing wait an hour. You’ll hear the friends of the dj three times over while you wait. Tonight I waited 3 hours, hear one singer 5 times. I sang once. It’s not fun.

Always fun, especially on weekend karaoke nights! As of writing, it starts at 9 PM Fri/Sat, and 8 PM on Sundays, then goes to just before last call.

Be advised, this is not your typical bachelorette party's karaoke stage. The sound system is great, and the singers are generally *phenomenal*. It can be intimidating to get on stage here, but talent is absolutely celebrated!

Liquor drinks pour heavy, so consider that before ordering a double. The staff are friendly and attentive, but the crowd inside can get so thick to the point it's hard to get a drink, find a seat, or even walk around.

On weekdays, crowding isn't normally an issue, but on Fridays and Saturdays, I would generally advise arriving early (before 10 PM, in most cases) if you easily get claustro-/agoraphobic.
