Perfect for take out, and they have the best churros in Bucktown!!!

Two stars because it is absolutely hard out there for restaurants. But I just confess, this place flat out sucks. I've tried eating here too many times. The most recent visit, I was served a tamale (I paid I think $9 after tip, lol), that was microwaved in some kind of plastic that seeped into the food heavily. I straight up tasted plastic for the next 36 hours, and it was absolutely vile. Surely that was some kind of fluke, there is no possible way that was what it was supposed I taste like. But the whole interior of the place smelled insane, too. I stupidly didn't want to be rude, so I ate it as quickly as I could and then left, but it lingered and it makes me sick just thinking about it again. I am sorry to post this publicly, but I've tried eating here a handful of times prior, and I was always extremely underwhelmed. You have to pay a lot of money to have dinner here, and neither the food nor the service or ambience make up for that at all. I understand that times are tough and costs are higher than they were, but this place just isn't doing enough in any category for me to consider visiting again. Especially after my final visit being just something else. I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemies.You can do better at any other taqueria in the neighborhood. And you probably won't have to spend $20 per person to eat.

Omgsh fresh fresh fresh! Even the Verde Salsa! Elote was made with real corn on the cob, cut off for you. Was made to order. Not one wilted lettuce leaf! Definitely worth every cent. We will be back. Thank you for caring about how fresh your food is!!

Racist female owner. I walked in shortly after opening time around 11:15am, lady behind the counter was speaking English to a service delivery person. As soon as the vendor left, her English disappeared, no “hello”, no “ can i help you” and no “thank you” before i left. Just not interested in me as a customer, so i have to assume her attitude towards me was simply race. I will file a complaint with DOJ Civil Rights division and while i’m at it contact immigration- hope your staff has proper work authorization.

Got a really great torta and the staff was super nice. Was a pretty good size too.

I probably eat here once a week and usually get the Carne Asada Burrito Bowl. So good, way WAY more flavor and better quality than the Chipotle’s & Qdoba’s of the world. Would recommend to anyone!

Food was missing from an order I placed online. When I called the restaurant about the missing items the staff hung up on me and then wouldn’t answer additional calls.

great burritos. i've never had a bad meal here! i love their guac, their fish taco and their pineapple agua fresca

Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The quesadillas were awesome!

Our first time eating here and we had a good experience. More of a counter service/ carry out vibe, ingredients were fresh, portions reasonable. Could tell the salsas and sauces were made in house. Overall a nice local business worth supporting if you’re looking for a good quick dinner.

I always have high hopes for this place; even though there is an overwhelming scent of grease in the air. The service is courteous and quick the few times I've been.The tacos I've had were very well-filled and flavorful. The plates have good-sized portions of yummy rice and beans. But I just got a burrito full of rice and lettuce (about 7/8 of it) with very little meat. It was tasty; I just was expecting slightly more meat for a burrito nearing $15 after taxes. Especially after I saw how much meat was grilled right in front of me. I'll try a few other items on the menu if I decide to go in again.

Great food, great portions at a great price.

Great tortas, we had carnitas and al pastor, both were great. Chicken pozole verde was really excellent, I highly recommend it. Tacos are on the small side, "street taco size" I guess. Last time I had the carnitas, al pastor, and carne asada, recommended in that order.
