Chill vibes, music was too loud so it was hard to hear the soft spoken waitress. Food recommendations were enthusiastically given. The Friday night appetizer special was the flautas and they were excellent!!!! I ordered a side of rice and beans and that accompanied my dish very well. Place is smaller than what I expected but it was very cozy.

I ordered the Queso fundido dip with tacos. The queso was a giant chunk of hard cheese (literally holding the container upside down in the picture for proof) , it didnât come with any chips for dipping and the tacos I ordered (chicken) were extremely overcooked. Tasted like rubber. Disappointed is an understatement.

Bocaditos Chicago was a total win. Everything we tried was delicious, the service was on point, and the atmosphere made it really easy to relax and enjoy the meal. One of those places where you keep saying âokay, one more biteâ until suddenly your plate is gone. Great food, great vibes, and zero complaints. Definitely coming back đđ

There were four of us on a double date. Food is fantastic problem was coordination - ladies ordered tacos came out in 15 mins we ordered the restaurant specials apps came out in 30 mins mains in an hour. The ladies waited 5 minutes and then when it was apparent our food wasnt coming the started and finished before our apps came - it was awkward eating. Similar story with the bar order cocktails brought two and forgot the other two because the slushie machine was broken but took 15 minutes to communicate so ordered a beer. Would be great for a game day meal at the bar for tacos avoid for date night or special occasions.

Recently dined (12/26/2025) at Bocaditos for a dear friends birthday, after bragging about how great this place is!! Unfortunately, I reserved a 10:30 pm appointment, considering the closing time on Google says they close at 2am on Friday nights! Upon arriving to my appointment, I was contacted twice regarding âifâ Iâm âsureâ Iâll be making it to the reservation, on top of the texts they send you to confirmâŠvery annoying!! Every time someone reached out, I repeatedly asked âthe kitchen stays open til 11pm correct??â The guy responded âyesâ never did he ever mention them closing at 11pm! Once we arrived, our waiter who wore a bucket hat, sat us and pretty much rushed us out! I ordered 3 pork belly tacos only had the chance to eat 2 because the server insisted on throwing it out after I repeatedly told him I wasnât done with it!!( his way of pushing us out!!) the kitchen was closed so there was no way to replace it! Instead, I look over and the server is taking shots with the bartender!! SMH very unprofessional!!!

I walked by this spot so many times, and was so excited to finally visit just before the holidays. The interior is so well decorated, it felt cozy yet stylish and trendy! The food was outstanding, we tried a couple of dishes and I would order any of them again. We got the queso fundido, battered shrimp Tacos, fajitas, and the pasta Poblana, and the taste and quality were excellent for each. We also tried the margarita flight, and each drink was delicious and refreshing. I love that they have daily specials (advertised on tables) and a Happy Hour! Really canât recommend this spot enough

In the beginning it seemed like our server was rude or something but we figured it was personality or maybe because we were the 1st people there of the night( 7pm). Everything was top tier, from the drinks, food and she seemed to be more comfortable during the evening. Definitely coming back soon. Not sure how this place isn't more popular by now.

Bocaditos has been my favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago since February 2024, I fell in love the first time I visited. I visit at least twice a month and frequently recommend the restaurant to friends, family, and my clients. The staff, manager, and owner are wonderful, the customer service is superb, and the venue is aesthetically beautiful.
While I enjoy many menu items including the Mezcalita (drink ), aguachiles, variety of salsas, chicken tacos, (the previous) shrimp taco, oysters, Oysters Rockerfeller, and Tampiqueña. I am writing to share some feedback.
I was disappointed to see the recent limitations to the happy hour menu and the change to the shrimp tacos. The previous shrimp taco was light, flavorful, and unique (featured in the pic), whereas the new battered version feels heavy and lacks flavor. I truly hope you consider bringing the original version back. The changes is the reason for the four star.
Additionally, I have a few suggestions to help increase foot traffic, as I want to see the restaurant continue to thrive:
- Update the happy hour menu to include more favorites like the steak quesadillas. - Extend happy hour by one hour. - Introduce Sunday brunch with a DJ or specialty nights featuring a live band. - Increase marketing efforts to draw in more guests.
Your food and service are amazing and your foot traffic should reflect that daily. I want to ensure Bocaditos remains a staple in the community for a long time. Thank you for countless incredible dinning and eating experiences.
