okay so we went there for a girls trip because we heard it was a great place.. There was 5 of us and food was pretty good out issue was when one of my friends went to the bathroom she seen a female worker there snorting drugs. We thought okay its Chicago but still very unprofessional. The female name was kassie or cassie one of those
I am really not the type to give a negative reviews at places but unfortunately, today was one of the times where I would have to. I went to meet for happy hour. I personally had an order of wings which were okay and understandably there was a little but of a wait for the drinks to come out because it seemed to be maybe one waitress and a bus boy.
I can excuse that, but to be honest after the happy hour was over I decided to get an old fashioned because my party and i decided to stay a bit longer and I asked to just do what ever the house whiskey was but what I got was not an old fashion. It was extremely light (color and taste wise) and a bit watered down so I had one of the people that was in my party try it to verify i wasnt just making it up, even though I know an old fashioned because it is my go to cocktail.
The other thing about it that made it so upsetting was it was a $28 dollar old fashioned before tip which is way overpriced, for whatever it was. So I went up to the bar and waited for the bartender and politely said " I am not sure if i got the right drink but i ordered an old fashion and the drink that I have doesn't taste like an old fashion".
So I asked what rye or whiskey did they he said they used 2oz of whiskey.
When I heard that all I could say that there was no way that it's possible, for it to taste so light so maybe if he can possibly make it over or we can figure something else out. At this point, he takes a straw to taste it and says to me that's a perfectly fine old fashioned. After I had myself and 2 others try it and they previously said the complete opposite.
Which i would have rather just got my money back at that point but then I noticed he seemed to start to get irritated and to be frank I was already tired and didn't want to deal with making a scene. So he starts starts saying so what, what do you want me to do so I just told him "you know what if it's such an issue just give me a whiskey neat". Which would be just whiskey with no ice ( for people that don't drink). He ends up giving me the drink over ice, didn't mention anything about adjustment on price because a an old fashion and a straight whiskey can't be the same price although I did tip the waitress prior to having that poor claim of an old fashion. It went downhill extremely quickly, and honestly I am not sure if the happy hour or food is even worth coming back for. I really do hope the service and bartenders end up doing better going forward.

I went here for part of my birthday celebration. I was expecting more, but it was OK, but the food wasn't as delicious as we thought it would be. The tacos were dry, unseasoned, and had no flavor, Besides the cilantro and onion.. especially because of the area, we did expect more and because of the prices as well.
The bar service was lackluster as well ... We told the young lady it was my birthday she gave me a shot which I didn't realize she charged me for until after, had i known she was not giving me a complimentary drink. I would have paid for what I wanted .. it was a Tuesday still may that was why it was real dry ...the service, the bartender, the tacos.
DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST!

My friend wanted some Birria tacos and I found this place on Tik Tok because it looked like it was a vibe. Well should have done my research because there was hardly no where to park as it’s located in the heart of Fulton market. It’s a tiny place and there was literally a line to get in. Didn’t realize it was pretty much a club in the back and a small restaurant in the front. Everything was super pricey and wasn’t even worth the taste. Definitely for drunk people who wouldn’t even care about quality of food. Mexican rice was disgusting no flavor tasted like yellow rice and was under cooked. The tacos were ok I had the taco box with chips and guac and the guac was good just too small of a portion the chips were hard and tasteless. I had a Birria taco and as much as I don’t like barbacoa it was actually ok and the salsa my friend and I were both disappointed there was no consume or alternative meat options. The seating was quite non existent at this point. The plus was the customer service was good. The bouncers were cool at the door and the employees. I wish we would have come earlier but then again the food was still not good.

Came in to grab food to go and decided to grab a drink from the bar. It was not busy at all, yet I watched as the bartender served two different groups that came in like 10+ minutes after me although she saw me sitting at the bar and trying to get her attention. Won’t be back to this location and definitely won’t be recommending anyone to come here. Very poor experience.

Bodega in Chicago was an absolute blast! My friends and I had the best time, thanks to the incredible staff who made the night feel like a real celebration. The vibe was electric, the drinks were on point, and the food was unreal—those tacos are no joke! The team made sure we were taken care of from start to finish, and their energy just set the tone for an awesome night. Definitely a go-to spot if you're looking for great food, killer cocktails, and a fun time with friends.

Will never go back to this place. I came in and spoke to management telling them I lost my wallet in their back room (the bar). They did nothing, I was trying to show them the location still said it was there ( I had an airtag). They could care less, spoke to some corny ass white dude. I followed my airtag to a house, and found out one of their employees work there. The person consistently denied having it even though i showed them the location of it. It's all good tho what goes around comes right back around..

Okay .. I can see the overall bad reviews now. Friend insisted on meeting for happy hour ( she really needed a drink for the conversation we were about to have). I’m not a drinker but usually have no issues ordering something made without alcohol - don’t mind the price tag either - I spent over a decade in the south loop not long ago and currently live in an expensive suburb.
One toilet seat in the women’s bathroom completely broken. The lounge in the back looked decent, cool vibe.
Friend arrived and she felt inside is too cold. We were told it’s fine to order at the lounge and eat at the outdoor patio. Completely self-serve at this point. Sure, no problem that’s on us since we chose to sit outside.
Told the bartender I’ll leave him a cash tip, since I’ve worked in the service industry for many years. He said sure, supposedly pressed zero on the screen for me. I left a $10 tip in cash on the bar before we walked out - 25% since the check out screen said $39.95.
Didn’t have high expectations for the food but was definitely taken back by the taste and presentation. Cold, stale tortilla. ”carne asada” meat is sus.
Came home and checked the receipt in my email to find I was charged $5.80 (20% gratuity). The bartender clearly lied and here I am trying to help him out by leaving a $10 tip in cash. Feel deceived and stomach is yucky from gross tacos. Cannot recommend. Definitely will not return to this place and have to agree with other negative reviews.

If you plan on eating here, I recommend trying something other than the quesadilla. Great ambiance.

This place has it all!
Tacos, vibes, and a bar staff that makes sure your cup is never empty! If you want a bold shakeup from the other bars in Fulton Market, this is the spot.

We recently moved to Chicago and have been trying out new places. Stopped at the River North location for a Maggie and check the place out. Service was outstanding. They were understaffed and the bartender was on top of it! We sat outside and she had her hands full between the bar area and the outside.
We had one margarita each, 2 of us and ordered chips and salsa with a side or guacamole.
The chips were in a basket, not the freshest and the guacamole was in a small disposable plastic side container, perhaps 2-3 oz. It was “ok” but our expectations were not high as this just a snack to hold us over.
The bill came to $50.service was excellent so we left a 25% tip. $62 for 2 margaritas and chips and salsa with guacamole.
Needless to say we won’t be back.

Had several tacos. All were served cold. This was odd, given the large grill in the kitchen. Corn tortillas were seemingly served straight from the refrigerator. The pineapple on the al pastor is not cooked with the pork.
One taco - carne asada - tasted like spoiled meat. I threw it in the garbage after one bite.
The garbage, of course, had not been taken out in quite some time and it overflowed onto the station where customers get utensils, napkins, and water.
Chips were not bad, so I assume they were purchased elsewhere.
The bathroom was dirty. Clothing, oddly enough, was laying on the ground in the stall. There were no paper towels in the restrooms.
Food is ordered through a kiosk, which requests a tip before any service is provided. I love touching the same thing as every other customer before I eat food with my hands.
Terrible, over priced garbage. Not even worthy of one star.

This place was good an offered higher
Quality products to match the high prices. I work nearby and often paid 20+ for a burrito. I ate hear on 9/20 and the same burrito on the menu went up a few dollars and no longer contains carne asada, its ground up meat, fatty and not worth 10 dollars. Taco bell
Is across the street and its probably higher quality than
Whatever Bodega is trying to pass off as good. Dont get ripped off walk on by
