The Boka Catering Group was wonderful to work with and extremely professional. One of the bigger deciding factors for a wedding caterer is obviously the taste, but also they focused on presentation and how easy things were for our guests. Our guests loved all the passed hors d'oeuvres and delicious dinners. Our dessert espresso martinis were also a huge hit. Andy in particular was amazing and helped us navigate through all the decisions about the food and parts of the day we hadn't even considered. Highly recommended if want something besides the classic boring wedding dinner for your guests!

The food was excellent, the service was phenomenal, and our coordinator (Kate) was top notch. So many compliments from guests regarding the quality and taste of the meal on the evening of the wedding! The Boka team even went out of their way on the night of the event to grab milk from a local grocery store for my 3 year old niece who was on the verge of a slight meltdown -- so very kind! A gesture we will never forget. I would very, very highly recommend Boka to anyone seeking catering services for an upcoming wedding or similar event.

We used BOKA Catering Group for our wedding reception dinner! We did a tasting and booked back in 2019 and finally had our reception in Nov 2021. Throughout the entire process (and due to the pandemic), we worked with several managers, but the transition between them was seamless. Helen was especially patient and lovely to work with! We got so many raving comments throughout the night about the food and service! In particular, our guests were impressed that all the food came from one catering company instead of multiple restaurants. At the beginning of our search for a caterer, our goal was to find one that could bring togehter Chinese and Asian-inspired dishes with American dishes, without making the Chinese food kitschy (for example, other caterers put the food in a Chinese takeout box - that doesn't make it Chinese haha). BRG was the only caterer that we did a tasting with that stayed true to the authentic Chinese culinary roots. The top favorites were the tofu and eggplant, short rib, roast duck, tenderloin, black garlic mashed potatoes, and Giuseppe's mashed potatoes!

Makayla from the Boka team is incredible- super organized, responsive and overall such a professional. I didn't have a planner and she went above and beyond dealing with logistics for me, like coordinating linen delivery and returns with a third party vendor. I also heard one of the bartenders kept a special bottle of scotch for my dad who is picky about his liquor and always had the next drink ready for him- so thoughtful!!

She was patient with me as we went back and forth to get every detail of the food and timeline right. On the day of our event, the whole entire team showed up on time, they were extremely friendly and professional. Everything was taken care of (plates, napkins, clean-up, food service). Their service at the event was phenomenal and everyone commented on how kind and tentative the service staff were. The presentation of the food went hand in hand with how great it tasted. They went above and beyond to make the event fantastic. I would use them over and over again.

We hired Boka for our wedding that we had originally planned for May 2020. By late March, it was clear that our original date was no longer viable. Boka graciously let us move our date with no pushback or issues. They treated us with the utmost kindness and professionalism through all the many changes we had to make due to COVID and all its related restrictions. From a guest count of 90 down to 50 and then 24 at the last minute (about one week out!), they worked with us every step of the way.When the new date finally arrived, we didn’t have a single guest who didn’t rave about the outstanding level of service and the delicious food. This is probably one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve had trying to hire a caterer. Makayla can’t manage to answer an email to save her life. I’m waiting over a week for simple questions to be answered and have yet to see a proposal. When I sent a double email her response was “I’m in and out of the office, I’ll email you next week”. I’m not sure in what world a “catering manager” can tell a potential client that she’s in and out of the office, as if that is my problem. In any industry a client shouldn’t wait over a week for a simple request. If she can’t answer one email, it needs to be forwarded to someone that can, or she should work in a different industry. This makes me question the type of business they are running, and the kind of product I will receive, if I choose to go with them. They lost me as a client for lack of professionalism.
