The food was mediocre. The Lomo Saltado didnt evem come with rice, the friea were like Mcdonadls fries and overall did not represent true Peruvian quisine. The cocktails were good, and the appetizers were a 7/10. The place looks nice and it was clean. Service was slowwww. We won't be coming back.
Great atmosphere!! We were there for an early, light dinner and it did not disappoint! There was live music that was really good and we all had empanadas that were great! They offer a table side guacamole service that we regret not getting so that is our plan for next time.
What an amazing experience! Boleo is our favorite spot to enjoy food and music. It never disappoints, with the culture and vibe. They've introduced some new music events with live bands. We can't wait to come back!
Drinks were good. Food was not very impressive. We had the brisket that was good but the side was inedible
Food was exquisite, all delicately prepared and wonderfully presented. The setting is a serene rooftop open area with large skylight. I will definitely be visiting again when I visit Chicago again.
Excellent restaurant and fantastic service! The empanadas were incredible and the service was top notch. Highly recommend this restaurant!
We had a lovely experience at this restaurant! Hector, the bartender was so great! Gave us advise on the menu, made great drinks! Had table side guac, delicious. Then we had several small plates, empanadas, grilled octopus and the dessert empanadas were great! Nice atmosphere!
After reading about this place online, I was pretty disappointed. There is no view, you really can't tell you're on a rooftop. Food was mediocre. Server kept trying to take away plates that still had food on them, then was nowhere to be found when we needed the check.
Chase and Hector were amazing. The food was delicious! Every item was seasoned perfectly. It also was great to have live music during dinner!
The food was excellent! The waitress was not. They had a Valentines Day special on a filet for $48, she charged us $55. We also had a 10% coupon that she never applied to our bill. And then charged us $10 for dessert that we never order. She only to check on us once. The first time she brought our bill, it was the wrong one. By the time we figured all the other stuff out about our bill we were frustrated and left. I will call the restaurant tonight when they open and talk to a manager.

Bad experience because when we were sat down and ready to order, we were told that there was no food from the menu. We were only able to have the Valentine's Day course which didn't have good course options anyways. We had to leave, we did not want to eat food that we didn't like. It's sad because our waiter was actually really nice about the whole situation and was understanding that we wanted to leave. Customer service was so good for the little time we were there, that was the only good part.
We were new to Boleo and it was nothing short of spectacular! We visited during Restaurant Week. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The staff was friendly and attentive, frequently checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. The ambiance is unique, with a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that transports you to South America. Every dish we tried was delicious and flavorful, with perfect portions. Our favorites were the Yaquitas and the Ceviche. The cocktails were also outstanding, perfectly complementing the Latin American-inspired cuisine. As first-time diners, we had a very satisfying experience and will certainly return. We highly recommend Boleo to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Chicago! Huge thanks to Guillermo, Jaime, and Maleka (sp?) for the warm welcome! Cheers!
The beef brisket was a large portion, but towards the end it was dry as there wasn't enough sauce. The yucca fries and spinach accompanying it were a bit salty. The room is large and with music playing it was a bit loud. The rooftop and general set up was very nice. The cocktails and service were great!
Food was great. Atmosphere was lively and cozy
