Bongiorno's Cucina Italiana & Pizzeria

Very welcoming and place very clean. We were attended very well and I notice that they payed attention to what we needed or missing. The food, a 10, very fast in getting our plates of 5 people and the food made fresh and delicious. I recommend this place. To anyone with a family because it is family friendly.

Loved the experience. A friend just bought this restaurant and I have to say I would highly recommend a visit. I'm not sure if I appreciated the service or the food more both were spectacular. The restaurant is nestled right behind the Trump Tower in downtown Chicago.

Food quality is good. We are full with less than 30usd. They can do half-half pizza so it’s very convenient.
Service is not the best I have seen. But it’s efficient. For this price point I really feel it’s proper.

Love this place. Used to work down the street and would eat here weekly. Family that runs the place is very nice. Pizza is delicious and the Stuzzicoso Sandwich is one of the best in Chicago

I’ve eaten twice at Bongiorno’s and plan to make it a tradition for every future Chicago visit. Both times the food was wonderful, came out quickly, the atmosphere was so nice and cozy, and the service was fantastic.
Shoutout to Gio, our server both times, who was so welcoming and gave excellent food recommendations! He makes every visit feel special! He takes such pride in the place that you can’t help but feel it too :)

Bongiorno is totally off the beaten path — it’s tucked inside an apartment building, so you know it’s a spot the locals love. My family went here after being disappointed by Lou’s Pizza (see my other review for context) and Bongiorno made all my Chicago pizza dreams come true. The pizza was delicious and the waitstaff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must-try for anyone looking for authentic local flavor.

Really wanted to like this place. Wife and I went in for dinner. They had plenty of 4 top tables but were hesitant to seat us as they wanted to put us at a 2-top table. Waitress came to take our order. Each of us ordered an entree, sodas and garlic bread as an app. Garlic bread never showed up, ok fine…didn’t really need it anyway. Chicken parm was ok, but side of pasta was cold. Lasagna with bolognese sauce was overcooked and then when served, lukewarm at best. I sent the lasagna back and said I’d just eat part of the wife’s chick parm. Wife’s drink never got refilled…which wasn’t a major loss because the sodas were flat.

Definitely won’t be back and don’t waste your time with this place. I can handle crappy food with great service, but this was crappy food and crappy service.

Do yourself a favor and pass on this place and just get a can of SpaghettiOs.

Waited 20 mins for placing our order. We ordered pasta and MEDIUM steak, first time 15 mins wait time and they gave us well-done steak we ask for re-cook. Second time another 20 mins and they gave us almost raw meat. Overall bad experience.

The beef was delicious the juice you could drink directly from the cup if you wanted, the only problem was they put the wrong cheese on my beef I asked for American cheese, I know it's outside the norm. They put mozz instead, I don't know if it was just because they don't have American & forgot to tell me either way my order was incorrect. But delicious

Food was great. Great pizza crust! We had the Windy City special (beef and giardiniera). Daughter had the pasta and it was very good. Great table service. Great staff. Too bad it started raining and patio was closed but in the end worth it!
