The staff seemed nice, but it is far too expensive to charge $35 for two people to play a game and drink soda. The $7 fee to play games AND $10 minimum for food/drink doesn’t make it accessible for many people. Gaming should be inclusive, and we aren’t setting a positive environment if the space is just for people who have significant disposable income. A part of what makes demo games great is trying them out before buying. But $35 (cost for 2) is the cost to buy some of these flat out, not play them once.

While we might have others now, Bonus Round was the first full service board game cafe in Chicago. The owners love board gaming and are passionate about fostering an inclusive, safe space. Great snacks designed to not get the games greasy, a drink menu full of local brews (coffee and booze) and a large board game selection from easy party to hardcore strategy depending on your mood. The staff knows darn near every game on the shelves and will offer up a few options based on what you're in the mood for and give you a basic rundown on how to play. If they still have their custom Chicago flag dice, make sure to grab a set! Also, many of the games you can play are also available for purchase.Vegetarian options: Key Lime Pie Dip is a must! And the grilled cheese can have BBQ Jackfruit added to it. Hummus plate and an awesome goat cheese dip plus desserts and snacks!

NOT a cafe. Don't come here for the food. More of a place for community events, not for one-time visits.Food is all pre-made or prepared with a microwave. Absurd that the game price is NOT included in the $10 food minimum. Each person had to pay a minimum of $17 just to sit and play a game. Have either the $10 food minimum OR the $7 game fee - $17 is outrageous for a microwave quesadilla.Games were in good condition with no missing elements.

Had such a fun time here! Played two games I’ve never played before, and the staff were so helpful in everything from explaining the games to making/serving drinks. Would definitely come back to explore their vast collection of games.

Fun experience. We played three games that we have never played before or had even heard of. The staff got us started in each game. Played one round of each. Drinks were good. Didn’t order food though. Highly recommend giving Bonus Round Game Cafe a try located in Wrigleyville in Chicago. It was a great family experience!

I went with a friend a couple weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. I went for the games but didn’t realize they had a few options for non-meat eaters! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable in helping us decide which games to play while we were there also!

Just a great fun, chill atmosphere. Not loud so it’s easy to talk and focus on the games. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the prices are affordable! The games were fun too!

I made a reservation for 8:00pm. We came in at 8:15 and they made us wait for another 15 minutes while preparing the table. I guess it’s fine. I didn’t know that there was a requirement to spend at least 10$ per person it was unpleasant to discover since there was a poor choice in the menu. I didn’t like how the staff treated us. And it was freezing cold in the room all the time.Never coming back.
