Borinken Cakes was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Rachel and the team were incredibly professional, responsive, and informative throughout the entire process. They guided us through design choices, flavor selections, and even ordered custom supplies in advance to make sure everything matched our vision.
Most importantly, our guests loved the dessert table. The cupcakes and pastries were a huge hit- fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Puerto Rican flavor. We couldn’t have asked for a sweeter addition to our wedding celebration.
Thank you, Borinken Cakes, for making everything so easy and for helping us bring a taste of the island to our Chicago wedding. Highly recommend!

These are some amazing cupcakes associated with Puerto Rican culture known as soaked cupcakes. I luv cupcakes but these are some unique flavors and are very tasty and moist. Enjoy them with a cup of coffee because it can be very sweet to some people.
My fave was the guava dream, which imo is like a version of a shortcake. The coquito (coconut & condensed milk) had that PR tropical vibe. The almond and hazelnut (Nutella) are popular choices and was delicious.
I was disappointed with the other sweet offerings especially the guava de patelillitos. It had no guava and was just powdered pastry. I did enjoy their dulce de leche quesito (a flaky pastry), besito de coco (a type of macaroon) and merenguito (a marshmellow-like center encased in a hard shell merenge)
I will have to try their savory sandwiches on my next visit.

This place is an awesome go to for a quick lunch or or snack. The food (mostly sandwiches) has that come back feeling. All the sandwiches are made to order. Try the strawberry guava colada...maaaaaaaaaaann. They specialize in Puerto Rican wet cakes that are a must try. Check em out.

I came here cause of Instagram. When I walked in, I was the only person in line, and the two ladies working behind the counter ignored me. She could have said hello, I'll be with you in one minute but I got nothing. I was about to leave after waiting 3 minutes & then she took my order & bearly cracked a smile. I understand being busy making orders & overwhelmed but a simple hello, I'll be with you in a moment & friendly smile goes along way to paying customers! My sandwich & coffee was delicious though. My husband loved his pastries. There are so many restaurants like these popping up & good customer service goes a long way & with that being said, I won't be back.

Amazing, I came here for my birthday with my family and the ladies here were amazing and welcoming, you can tell the food is made with love🥰 Also the breakfast sandwiches and cakes were my favorite. If you come here, I’d definitely try the Nutella flavored frappe🤩
