Host wouldn’t let us eat because she said reservations were made. According to the website same day reservations aren’t allowed and they are only for parties of 5 or more. We were a party of 2 and there were 3 open 2 tops—which would not be able to be reserved ahead of time. She clearly made up the rule in front of us and just didn’t want us to eat at the restaurant.

Awful wait time! Even there are empty tables open, they will offer to their regulars first. Should have read other reviews before I come in here.

Nice breakfast house with awesome food. However, our waitress forgot one of the coffee we ordered, and was not very professional about giving service

This place is the definition of a hidden gem. I don’t want to review it so I can gate keep it. It’s wonderful, understated, and a value meal.

Had the house chorizo hash with eggs and avocado and pancakes for a $15 steal! It’s great, also have specialty coffee drinks, these were a bit weak - but you are here for guy fieri hidden dine in specials. A neighborhood gem that I would go to all the time if I lived near by.

Worth the money, it’s a bit of a wait, so try to go early. If you miss, there are some options around the corner!

Would go again

A cozy little spot to start your day. I was easily able to find free street parking right next to the door. I had no issue getting a table and was waited on right away. The coffee was hot and strong!! And when I chose my breakfast entree I was super happy everything tasted incredibly fresh. From the guacamole to the crème fresh to the chorizo to the tortilla Ms and the eggs just brought everything together. I can usually eat a lot but this portion was MASSIVE and I couldn’t finish the whole thing myself. And was satiated for the entire day. I left with a tiramisu latte and it was delicious, but very sweet (in a good way but just note that). Everything was a great way to start my day!!

Very popular tiny restaurant. Parked on Grand Ave, but good luck getting parking and getting seating. I walked in and was seated right away, so lucky I was, indeed. Prices are moderate, service was good, and food was great.

The food was bland along with the syrup. The atmosphere was just okay, it was small on the inside and there was outside sitting as well. The service could have been better but, it seemed as though they were focusing more on trying to get things ready for closing, that no one came back to ask if we needed anything else, before cashing out. Considering this was my first time being here, it wasn't impressive. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Parking: The restaurant is on a busy Street and within a community so there is no parking lot north parking specifically for the restaurant. It is just off street parking. In some areas you have to pay and then some areas if you're lucky you may not have to pay.

Kid-friendliness: To me, it's not really a kid friendly environment, from what I saw that day. It was more so couples or older people. It doesn't seem like there was anything for children to do there but I imagine you could still bring kids.

They had a very monochromatic choice of staff. The staff was nice tho. And yes it’s an actual house turned into a breaskfast spot! I get the allure

Eggs were seasonless

Their Almond milk Horchata tasted like almond milk with an unnecessarily large amount of cinnamon.. I order horchata a lot, if it’s on the menu.. have had almond milk horchata before and this just wasn’t good

French toast was great! I had it with Nutella. Pretty big pieces of bread as well.

Everything looking good. Great food presentation, just need to work on the taste. I was very disappointed as this is where I took a friend who was coming from out of town. Wasn’t my first choice and won’t be a choice of mine again.

Parking: We parked on the neighborhood side right behind the alley

Wheelchair accessibility: No or atleast I would not take anyone with disabilities unless you plan on eating outside. Again it’s like a house turned into a restaurant. There is limited space between the tables.

Wonderful find. Down the road from another/more popular breakfast place called Uncle Mikes, but honestly I prefer this place. Great service, very good coffee, and a wonderful hash. Highly recommend!

We love the Breakfast House - a regular weekend tradition for our crew. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. The food is excellent. This is a must-visit for our out of town family when they visit.

I had the Supreme Chorizo Hash. It was really good and fulfilling. It was a great portion of food. My server name was Adriana. She was very nice. Will definitely come back when I’m in Chicago.

I was wandering through the neighborhood looking for breakfast, and beyond glad I found this spot. It’s a no-frills laidback environment with plenty of seating and quick service.

My waitress recommended the chorizo hash, as they’re well known for it. The potatoes were crispy, runny egg, little bit of guac… can’t ask for anything more. Side of fruit for a little bit of health.

Would definitely come back for more!

Great selection of leveled-up versions of familiar breakfast items and the coffee is excellent. The pancakes were especially buttery and fluffy.

Parking: You might have to walk half block or so from your parking spot, and it should be noted that I've never been here in a weekend so it might be especially difficult on those days.
