The manager and staff are very kind and compassionate and the staff is also great. We come here as often as once a week and the food is excellent.

This place is very nice! They have a large menu with tons of food options and a huge selection of alcoholic drinks. I had the crepes and a grapefruit mimosa, and both were really good. I also enjoyed practicing my Spanish with Elvis, one of the servers here. He was super friendly and made the experience even better. This place is definitely worth a visit!

I just had the worst breakfast experience of my life and have been here many times over the years. My Eggs Benedict was watery with soggy muffins; it was literally inedible. Fortunately I had ordered side pancakes & OJ. I had to flag down a waiter who knew me because I never saw mine again. They did take the EB off my bill. Someone else brought me the check, but never came back. 15 minutes later I went up to the bar and paid yet someone else. No apologies, but when I glanced back at my table 30 seconds after leaving it, it had been cleared off and wiped down. The attitude of the entire staff was more insulting than the inedible breakfast. As I said, they knew me, as I had gone there for years. I was very nice throughout, so that does not explain it. I should have walked out without paying. I will never be back.
Additionally, they were fully compliant with enforcing New World Order vaccine passports during the scamdemic. They were one of the few businesses in our area that were.

A neighborhood restaurant, over $40 for breakfast for two? My Huevos Rancheros was great, my friend's eggs were tasteless like cardboard. The waiter was friendly and did a great job. I doubt that we would go back, the place was almost empty near lunch time.

Good classic brunch options with lots to choose from. The chilaquiles and the chorizo hash are both great, and the omelettes are tasty. Good reliable spot that gets busy on weekends, so would suggest planning around that.

I was expecting to wait 20+ mins because it was a very busy Saturday morning. The guy that welcomed us was very accommodating and quickly seated us. I loved the service, although the space feels a little tight, the vibe was great and i was comfortable. The food was good too, and the prices are fair and comparable to other places, maybe even cheaper for the portions. The food tasted very fresh and of good quality. I’m not from the area but will continue to support them if I’m ever around. Definitely recommend, my daughter had chicken salad that she enjoyed, i had the house hash which was delicious and we ordered pancakes which were good too. Cheers to the crew there-they work hard and are kind people.

Lovely breakfast spot. The cozy atmosphere and attentive wait staff made the Breakfast House our go-to spot for breakfast during our stay. Try the chilaquiles! Best I've had yet.

I would not recommend this place and their dishonest practices. My party ordered two hashes and asked for vegan chorizo (which is an up charge), when we got our food there was BARELY ANY chorizo and when we brought it up we were told that they actually ran out of chorizo but still decided to put the scraps on our dishes and charge us!!! Also, we ordered a Nutella waffle which did NOT have Nutella, just some fake chocolate sauce. Ironic that on the menu it says the dish is for “Nutella lovers” but they don’t even use Nutella, any actually Nutella lover would notice. Extremely disappointing and misleading.

I really enjoy Breakfast House. The food is fresh and delicious, and the menu has many interesting options. I especially like the Supreme Chorizo Hash and the Corn Meal Cake. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for breakfast or brunch with friends. I will definitely come back to try more dishes.

I came here for breakfast and tried the chorizo hash with vegan chorizo. The flavors were bold, the portion size was generous, and I really appreciated that they had a vegan option for the chorizo, it was seasoned well and didn’t feel like a compromise. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the dish was hearty and satisfying.
The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was casual and welcoming, perfect for a weekend breakfast spot. My only critique is that the dish was a little on the heavier/salty side, and the presentation could’ve been a bit more polished, but overall it was still very tasty.
I would definitely come back and try some of their other menu items. A solid breakfast spot in Chicago with good variety and options for different diets.
