We usually visit a different location, but today we happened to be in the area and decided to stop by. As always, the food was delicious and the service was great. This location felt a bit calmer, which made it easier to have a conversation. There’s lots of natural light and the music was really nice too. The only downside is parking — it’s street parking and unfortunately metered.

Everything was fresh and tasted really good! Loved the chai latte and chilaquiles. I also tasted their carajillo and it was super high quality and smooth. Potatoes were really good too.
My only modifications would be to the salsa and the beans on the chilaquiles. I prefer pinto beans and spicier salsa.
The staff was kind and welcoming. I also liked the atmosphere and set up inside. Would recommend.

I visited with my family while we were in Illinois, and I’m so glad we chose to have breakfast here. We enjoyed it so much that we came back three times during our stay. The freshly squeezed orange juice was excellent, and the menu offered a wonderful variety. We especially loved the fun rooster theme and the charming drawing on the board—it added such a unique touch.
The staff was amazing and very accommodating. I tried a sweet breakfast one day and a savory option the next, and both were outstanding. I look forward to visiting Illinois again and returning to your restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Their Chilaquiles are the best I’ve ever tasted. No contest. Service was quick and Intelligentsia coffee was great but those Chilaquiles - outstanding.

I grabbed a chicken sandwich which was good along with pancakes, eggs, sausage link, and potatoes (The potatoes were a bit salty) we also ordered a grilled cheese and the waiter brought us a sandwich with ham and egg barely any cheese he asked if we wanted fries or fruit we requested fries (he brought us cubed potatoes) also Benito seemed rude and too persistent. I asked him were the coffee was in the menu he replied with “I told you already in the black menu” he also didn’t understand when we asked him to split check and charged my card everything. Will not come back simply because of the service.

I had the house specialty for breakfast.. it's like a scramble and it was so amazing. We ordered our eggs over medium which are tricky to get exactly right, but they were prefect. I'm defintely going back and will try something else. I'm sure it will be good too. This place should be on your morning agenda.
