This was one of the worst service experiences by the manager. Initially a young lady took our order, I had ordered the 32’s which includes 2 pancakes 2 eggs and either 2bacon or 2sausage links. I choose to have the 2 sausage links. When our order came, they mistakenly brought me bacon vs sausage links. I called over the server and the manger came over to check our order instead. I told her there was a mistake, I was given bacon vs sausage links and she said “okay let me bring you the sausage” a few minutes later she brought a plate with the 2 sausage links and left. Of course I thought due to the mistake, the bacon would come as a gratuity; if it weren’t then she should’ve taken my order, corrected it and brought it back how it was initially placed. But instead she decided to just add it to our bill without notification. I noticed it and asked why the custom order was added to our bill at the counter and she said because I ate the bacon. Confused for the bluntness I asked her why wasn’t I, as the customer, advised of the extra charge that would be added or why wasn’t offered the option to take the bacon back or my order to be placed correctly not be charged the extra fee. The manger knew she was wrong and decided not to go back and forth with me and finally gave in and took off the extra charge. On top of that, there’s an automatic 18% gratuity dine in fee added- and for what? To be given bad service from the manger, have your order taken incorrectly and be charged a fee you were not aware of. I’m never coming back nor recommending this place to family or friends.
This is an old school Chicago diner. I ate their Bridgeport skillet and was not disappointed. What you is see is what you get. My kind of place.
I've been coming to this breakfast spot since my daughter was able to nibble on pancakes. Now I have two boys who love coming here with their sister and enjoy a nice breakfast as a family.
I got the red chilaquiles which comes with cheese and eggs on top with a side of hashbrowns. The first few bites were great but as I continued the chilaquiles started tasting more like a pizza which was weird to me. Other than that it was good. I'd just order it with less cheese. I would go back to try the rest of the food
We ate breakfast there last Sunday and it was out of this world! My wife who is 5’ 100 lbs ordered seconds of French toast after she finished her main course- it was that good. Great staff, very good food, and very fair price. Place was packed with after mass crowd and we still got served in a quick manner. Wish it was open later in the day!!!
I just ordered some French toast with strawberry and this is what I got, they look so dry and yes, there’s no strawberries in them and I also ordered chilaquiles and this looks like someone was on the rush and very careless about my order they look old, and honestly I don’t even feel like eating any of this food, it looks horrible and forget about the taste it’s all terrible. I’m so upset, I do not recommend this place at all, please do yourself a favor and stay away from it.
Amazing! The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. I ordered an Italian sausage skillet with pancakes. I had plenty of food to take home with me. This spot had everything I love about local diners.
What a great place. Local restaurant that has bee around for as long as I can remember. This place is a great reminder that simple is always good! Great service and good food! Nothing better
Tried the steak fajitas omelet with grits and pancakes, it was delicious
Staff was ok, pretty decent portions, the food was ok. Not 5 Stars, but not bad either. It was good. It's your typical diner

Ordered breakfast and was excited as I haven't had Bridgeport in some time, well may have been a blessing! Hash browns were to be O"Brien, I got chunks of deep fried whole potatoes.Toast was butter less, eggs were brown as if fried too long, couldn't find any cheese and the omelette itself was tasteless, mind you it had bacon, mushroom AND extra cheese. Never tasted the bacon, at all??? Bridgeport Restaurant has gone down hill, never again. How can George's keep pumping out quality food while this used to be institution has bitten the dust. Sad.
They made my carry out order incorrectly and then when I wanted the order remade the owner told me I would have to pay extra and when I attempted to show her what the order was missing she didn’t care. I stated I wanted a refund and she told me I wasn’t getting one. When I demanded the refund she told her cashier to give it to me and told me to get out. Very poor customer service and I will never return!!!
Loved it. The staff is great and helpful in making my breakfast choices. They are also very courteous and friendly. Food is great and I don't even live in the area, but I go every chance I get ?
