This place saved our lives. We are in Chicago for st Patrick’s weekend and came here for hangover brunch. Dona and Casey were the sweetest waitresses ever. 11/10. We will for sure be back and highly recommend this place to everyone! Especially for brunch!! If you come here make sure you get Dona or Casey for your waitress. They deserve everything in the world!! (And a big raise)

(Also please take the photo of the big pretzel off of Google :( you don’t have it anymore)

Can’t wait for next time!!!

This is definitely one of the best spots in Chicago. I work at a brewery in Elmhurst called 93 Octane. I know a great bartender when I see one and Will is definitely it! He definitely gave great customer service regardless of the busy rush. Erik was also very attentive! You guys have a great team! BROKEN BARRELS WHERE ITS AT! 👏🏼👏🏼

Don’t recommend going on any special occasion or game. They let way too many people into the bar and then the staff constantly tells you to move out of the way. As if there is anywhere else to stand…

Made a reservation for 6 here well in advance of the Bears Rams game and wish we hadn’t. Our table was so close to 2 other tables that there was no room for us to use half of the table. The people sitting behind us were sitting with their backs up to our table. Some members of our party had to sit on the outer edge of the table and were constantly being hit by people in the standing room behind us. The table behind us had to crawl under their own table to get out to use the bathroom. We let our waitress know and she said she’d send a manager or security but that did not happen so we left at halftime. The wait staff was trying their best, but it was too packed for them to properly do their job. The food was also not good — the chips in our nachos were straight up burnt brown. I understand it was a busy night for bars across Chicago, but Broken Barrel had lost control of their bar. The wait for the bathroom was insane. The line wrapped around to their outdoor patio and looked to be at least 20-30 minutes. Would not return and upset that we wasted our time for the divisional game here.

The food is simple, yet incredibly tasty. I had the pleasure of being accompanied by Keir and his service was fabulous. He’s also an amazing leader for his staff while remaining cool, calm and collected. Huge shoutout to him, I can’t wait to be back!

Probably the worst place I've ever had the misfortune of experiening. Service is so bad. Took almost an hour to even order drinks and we we're never even asked if we wanted food which we did do we finished our drinks and went up the road to a better spot that we had immediate and great service at. What is going on here? This was unbelievably bad.

Waited almost an hour for anyone to take our orders. 55 mins to get some beers and shots. Then no one ever came back to take our food orders. Staff all seems like they hate their lives... the vibe here is really bad. All we had were beers and shots so can't comment on the food other than the fruit tray at the bar that the staff were snacking on while we were waiting for service looked good lol. Especially the chick who was putting tajin on cucumber slices shoving them in her mouth and then dipping her dirty fingers back into the fruit and veg tray that go on everyone's drinks. This place is gross and weird /bad vibes.

Anna is an amazing bartender. She takes the time to get to know those at her bar and provides the best customer service.

Went in and got the whiskey cocktail special, apparently that doesn't include old fashions-which are cocktails. The special actually means mixed drinks or single ingredient beverages. Totally scuzzy and misleading.

Great spot for football Sundays! We came with 6 friends and a baby and had an awesome time. Our server was super attentive even with a packed crowd, and food/drinks came out fast. The hot honey chicken sandwich was tasty (not too spicy), and there are plenty of TVs so you won’t miss a game. Perfect mix of good food, great service, and fun atmosphere.

Absolutely abysmal service by Brooke. Took over 45 minutes to get our first trough of 10 drinks to our table. There’s absolutely no way that it should take 45 minutes to have 10 cans put on ice and brought to a table. Every table in her section was served twice before we were served. We had to ask 3 times before it came it us. Understandable for 10-15 minute delay when busy but 45 minutes is just ridiculous. Our second through was brought out by what we assume is the manager and that only took 10 minutes. Unfortunately the drinks were wrong but I guess beggars can’t be choosers. We’ve been here 2 hours now and she’s been to our table 3 times 😆

We asked to have the tv changed to college football, for the start of college football seemed like a reasonable request. No dice on that. Definitely will not be back.
