Outstanding service and a great Chicago stop!

Stopped into Brown Bag Seafood Co. while in town for work and had an excellent experience. The food was fresh and delicious, but the service truly set this place apart.

Charlie and James were awesome—super helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They made great menu suggestions and even took the time to point out cool places to see around Chicago. It felt genuine and made my visit even better.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for great seafood and top-tier customer service. I’ll absolutely be back when I’m in the city again.

Food is always filling and delicious.. also James always look out for me and my coworkers he has great customer service and such welcoming energy, love this location !!

My server today James was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating from start to finish. He checked in at the right moments, made sure everything was exactly how I needed it, and had such a warm, welcoming attitude.

As a Black woman, it’s always a great feeling to receive excellent service from someone who looks like you—it added an extra layer of comfort and pride to the experience. Overall, the service made my visit to Brown Bag Co. even better. I’ll definitely be back!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very friendly and energetic. My service attendant, James, was very nice to me and suggested i try the sweet tea in which i am overly satisfied with the taste and customer service expectations.

After the tower tour I needed some lunch and this had the best option for me. Fish was fresh and flavorful. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Will be back

I love Brown Bag Seafood but prices are a bit inflated on food apps. That being said, I jumped at the chance to grab some while downtown taking care of some business. The atmosphere is definitely buzzing due to the lunch hour so the line was a bit long but moved fast. I ordered the honey sriracha salmon dinner plate with greens and grains and some hush puppies.

Outside of the great food I want to acknowledge how great my service was. I left a large envelope with some documents and letters related to work (I had just left court and my work PO Box). When I realized it and ran back in, they knew exactly why I was back in there and the young lady ran back in to get it. Please forgive me as I am horrible with names and I meant to right them down, but I do remember Shanti who I believe was at the register, and 2 other young ladies (one was shorter) that were in the front. In a world where great customer service is scarce, people like them make a good meal that much better. Thank you ladies for saving me a lot of stress and an extra trip downtown! I will definitely be back.

Living in a triple-landlocked state, I usually look for seafood when I travel. Brown bag delivered. Everything tasted great Staff was friendly and kind. Couldn't have asked for more! (Was a tad pricey, but Downtown Chicago amiright?)

Food was absolutely BUSSN! I ordered the fish and chips which was nice and crispy along with some salmon that was flaky and juicy. Came all the way from MN to try their food and I was VERY IMPRESSED! 😋😋😋

I came in with low expectations, but one bite changed my mind. The salmon bowl with whole grains, veggies, and sesame sriracha was excellent—perfectly marinated salmon and well-grilled vegetables. Great spot for a quick lunch or dinner.
