Went there today and asked for 2 slices of lemon cheesecake, and 1 slices of red velvet. I got home and found that they had given me 2 slices of lemon cake and the 1 slice of red velvet, gave 2 slices to my parents in which they described it as dry and sweet, no distinct flavor. Went back to the bakery shortly after to advise, and was told they didn't have lemon cheesecake and claim to have never had it, although I had it there before. Ended up getting a banana pudding, that was instant pudding and generic wafers (you can definitely tell a difference, taste like the smell of cardboard box). Probably won't be back here for awhile if at all, while I didnt have the carmel cake today the frosting has become more like a overly sweet fondant texture

This place popped up on my Facebook timeline. I decided to take the drive to see what it was about. I went on Thursday, Jan 29. I walked in and was welcomed right away. Customer service was great. The lady was friendly and helpful. They had a big selection to choose from. I tried the Caramel Cake and the Turtle cheesecake. The caramel cake was delicious. But let me tell you something baby that Turtle cheesecake is something amazing. That had to be one of the best desserts I have eaten and I have had my fair share of desserts. Now initially I was like hmmm it might be too sweet. Let me tell you something about this magical piece of UTTER PERFECTION! It is nothing short of amazing and perfectly balanced. It is delightful. You have to try it! It is a must have. Its fresh and delicious. I'm amazed.
Caramel cake is tasty. Always quick in and out service.

I came all the way from the Westside of Chicago to try the Bakery out I was disappointed in the staff!! I asked to try a cupcake that I wanted out of the showcase she said no they don't sell cupcakes out but sold me one that was from yesterday I was totally disappointed I bought the cupcake anyway and left it in the store no Thanks you guys should always provide customers with great service it's a 1 for me so Disappointed!!!

I finally got a chance to stop by brown sugar bakery and I must say its just a regular bakery and we brought 4 different slices of cake however they cakes aren't moist at all. Whenever you buy a slice you must eat it right away after a day or longer the cake will be no more good. 2 stars for me I like moist cake not partially hard.

Good afternoon, I saw this bakery via WGN news and I waited a year to come visit. The customer service was very horrible to the point I ended up getting cupcakes, I wanted to gift my some more products. The one young lady with short blonde hair and a huge piercing in her right ear made it very difficult to ask questions about the products she was very rude and she cut mu sentence a few times the experience it self made me just not never wanna experience this bakery ever again, when so many of my colleagues gave this place a 5 star. I worked in customer service over 30 years and this was the worst service the products were great but to avoid the negative energy I will stay away and my colleagues .She was the worst cashier ever!!!!!

I’ve been to Brown Sugar Bakery a couple of times, and I am a lover of cupcakes. The cupcakes are always delicious and not only are the frostings delicious but the cupcakes are large and the cake is so tasty on its own which I really love. I even ordered some cupcakes via DoorDash from them last week for a work birthday treat and everyone enjoyed every single cupcake they sent. Not to mention the pricing is beyond fair. Would definitely love to see this place expand to multiple locations.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. The customer service was hostile, unprofessional, and outright rude. I arrived at the scheduled pickup time and the cake was not ready, despite being told it would be. Rather than offering a solution or apology, the staff, particularly a blonde-haired woman became aggressive and yelled at me. To make matters worse, the cake that was eventually provided did not match what I ordered. This level of disrespect and incompetence is unacceptable. I will not be returning and do not recommend this business.
