The Brown Sugar Lemon layer cake is a must have for any special event.
My first time walking into this bakery it was a great experience. The women were so friendly & helpful . The cake not only was beautiful but it was moistened and delicious . I would recommend 10/10 . My new favorite bakery . I’m in love with. Thank you so much ladies . My mom absolutely loved it.

The service is absolutely horrible, Brown Sugar will never have to worry about me coming in there ever again , please invest in customer service classes for the rude ladies behind the counter

This was my second time coming and was disappointed. I drove from the NW suburbs to come here. The first time was hit or miss but I enjoyed the carrot cheesecake and the turtle cheesecake. This time they were not in stock. I was there on the 23rd 30 mins after opening. I could’ve saved my $49 and went to the Cheesecake Factory for better service and quality.

Omgness, I ordered a nearly $80 caramel cake for my Christmas party, and it was the WORST cake I’ve ever had. Where do I even begin? First off, the caramel was a disaster- hard, overly sweet, and just plain awful. It reminded me of Goetze’s Old Fashioned Caramel Creams Candy, with the same overly sweet cream-like filling, except it was inside the cake 🤮.—It wasn’t smooth or rich; instead, it had the texture of cheap Goetze’s Old Fashioned Caramel Creams, but worse. Absolutely nauseating! 🤮
The cake itself was equally terrible. It was dry, dense, and tasted like cornbread—not a hint of the moist, fluffy texture you expect from a cake. This was hands-down the grossest cake I’ve ever had. It was dry cornbread with hard overly sweetened caramel.
I honestly don’t understand how this place has a 4.4-star rating—there’s no way it deserves it. For the price I paid, I could have bought a store-bought cake and had better results. No one at my party liked this cake—not one person. It was the only dessert leftover.
If I had known, I would have spent the money on 10 Pookie Crack Cakes instead. Their caramel is smooth, soft, and rich, and their cakes are always moist. In comparison, this cake’s caramel was stiff, hard, and dry. For $80, I feel completely ripped off. This place should not be in business serving cakes like this. What an absolute waste of money.
Had a bundle of goodies shipped to Seattle for Christmas. Delicious! Obama cake, mint and peanut butter meltaways, chocolate dipped potato chips. Yum. Thank you for shipping nationwide! What a treat!

I purchased a two layer Carmel Cake for a Christmas party, it was not two layers. There was more Carmel icing than yellow cake.
Very disappointed ☹️
Their carmel cake has changed in taste.

Bought 2 cakes. German Chocolate and Caramel. German was very dry and icing taste like it was caramel with coconut. The caramel on the caramell cake was thick and too sweet. It was my first time buying, and I went off reviews, but my family and I did not care for it at all.
Purchased a half dozen of cupcakes. For them to be $5 a piece they all were dry and hard. I’m so disappointed because my family has been a loyal customer for years. I guess it’s time for a new bakery.

I'm done dealing with Brown Sugar Bakery. This is the second year they've sold me a cake like this. Below in the pictures 1st-2023, 2nd-2024. You cannot convince me their 2 layer caramel cakes supposed to look like that. The presentation was off for the both of my orders. The only good thing at today's pickup was no line no wait compared to last year line wrapped around the corner.

Ok so here's my take on this, they charge $25 for a pie which is not that good. If you go to Laurie's bakery out west you will get 2 for $26 and it is so amazing. Lower y'all prices because it should match the taste.
