The Staff really messed up our experience here. Unfortunately, the only good customer service at this place starts and ends at the front door. The ticketing people greet you with a blank disinterested face saying “you got a ticket? It’s $25 cover.” Not a word more. Also keep in mind that the ticket prices at the front are marked up 40% over the online price… Then you walk in and the security goons tell you all the things you are doing wrong - “You can’t stand here”. We sat. “Your legs are too far out, turn towards the table (away from the stage)”. Then the server comes through with the cart and pushes into you and tells you to move again. Yes, very minor but these kinds of first impressions really ruin a dining experience.
My theory: Since this place is so renowned and backstopped by heavy tourism, customer service has fallen by the wayside, like many other well established bars & restaurants post-Covid.
Potential solutions: 1) If the ticketing people had smiled and explained the floor rules at the beginning, we could have avoided all the negative interactions. 2) Get rid of the dirty plate cart and strict cart aisle. The cart only came through twice in 30 minutes, security and waitress busted the majority of the tables. 3) the security goons would be much less intimidating if you remove the black hoodies and have them try 10% harder on customer service and tone. 4) 2 doormen, 2 ticketing staff, 3-4 on floor security, and only saw 2 waiters. Staffing seems flip flopped.
Only reason I’m giving 1 star is because of the kind doorman, attentive waitress, and great band.

Place is amazing. Had a great time. I purchased a hat after the show there and buddy himself signed it. While in town this is a great after dinner spot with live blues. It was also not too loud by the entrance bar but still sounds clear.

This was one of the best nights of my LIFE! We were in Chicago on a work trip and just so happened to ask the concierge from the hotel what there was to do in town. He immediately suggested trying out the legends assuring us. It’s not very often that Buddy Guy actually shows up, but you never know. Well tonight he showed up and he was amazing❣️We experienced a living legend who has perfected the art of BLUES music. I sincerely apologize to the band that performed with Mr. Guy because I don’t remember their name and they were awesome.
If you live in Chicago, but I’ve never been to the legends I recommend it highly. If you’re visiting Chicago, definitely put this on your list of places you must see.

Great blues club in downtown Chicago behind the Hilton. Live blues performed by outstanding blues musicians. Do not expect to see Buddy Guy, he usually plays in January only. Check the lineup on the club's website. I never miss to visit when in Chicago.
