I love this store! It makes you feel like you are in Argentina. I’m an argentinian living in Michigan, we don’t have any similar store to get our argentinian essentials, so I was very happy after I find this one when I visited Chicago! The store it’s very complete, I found all the goodies I needed and more! I can’t wait to visit the city again to get more things. 😁 Mario, the owner, seems like a great person, very polite! Me and my husband had an amazing experience 😁

I recently visited Buenos Aires Deli in search of mates and yerba mate. I was pleased with their wide selection of yerba mate—it was impressive and offered plenty of variety to choose from. However, I was disappointed with their limited selection of mates. I was hoping for more variety, especially since I currently buy my mates on Amazon and was looking to support a small business while upgrading to better quality.
On the bright side, the staff was amazing—friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The ambiance of the store was cozy, inviting, and authentically charming, making the shopping experience enjoyable. Pricing was fair, though nothing particularly stood out in terms of value.
Overall, I’d recommend Buenos Aires Deli, especially for their yerba mate selection and the warm atmosphere. It would be even better if they expanded their mate options. I’ll likely return and hope to see more offerings in the future!

I have been several times and I have never had a complaint about this place, but yesterday, July 3, my husband went to buy empanadas and with sadness I see that the quality has declined a lot, because the empanadas were dry, flavorless and seemed very behind, we bought of cheese with onion, chicken and meat and there was nothing to say that it was delicious, all equally dry, tasteless and even overheated. I would be ashamed to sell that and since they give them at a high price as customers we expect something of quality.
I hope they reflect and return to their previous level, that would give me great joy.

It is not like before. They no longer carry the main brands and the worst of all is that many products are sold out of date. When you complain, they look at you badly as if they were giving you the product, as if we should be grateful that they sold us, even if it is defeated. Getting worse.

Lots of expired things. Some are 50% off because they’re expired but the expiration date was 3 years ago, which I think is too much. Most items don’t have prices on display, which is kinda shady. All in all, a sad looking, small corner store that’s going downhill
