The owner is very judgemental and not friendly. He doesn't appreciate customers who spend money at his bar but most importantly take care of the staff. Which is the reason people come to the bar. With competition opening up in the neighborhood he should welcome business instead of deterring it. That being said much of the staff is amazing and it's a shame I will no longer spend my money there to support someone who is so judgemental and preaches equality and compassion but doesn't back it up

Food was good, service, not so much. They were busy, but not full or packed. Got the impression the he server did not care, forgot mom's soup, and brought it halfway through dinner. 😑

This place is a dump. Don’t waste your money. The owner has a frown on his face all time

The morning of our visit, they were short of foods.
It was a very busy weekend. We waited with cocktails that were overwhelming strong. The brunch ordered was fine, and a vodka shot of something as a recognition for our patience was reminisit of Robotussen. Overall, it was an ok visit. Our Chicago resident assured us this was not the usual experience, and they are his frequent Friday go-to.
We sat outside on a fine Sunday morning.

Burke's is about the best neighborhood joint in Edgewater. Friendly service and a solid menu. I've never gotten a bad item here - their monthly specials are always a great option and I highly recommend their turkey burger, which is made completely in-house. Great beer rotation as well - and don't forget the Fish Fry every Friday!

Decent spot! Fine service. Slightly disappointed in the fish and chips $18. All over cooked one piece way overcooked in my opinion. Served with coleslaw, tater sauce, and plain green peas. At least put a dash of salt and butter on the green peas. I love a green veggie bit do something to them...

Really good drinks and a decent beer on tap list. The service is excellent and all the food we’ve tried so far has been great.

We like Burke’s. Never a bar seat open so get there right at the starting hours if that’s what you’re seeking. Guinness pour is usually top-notch as long as it’s in a proper glass. Servers are generally friendly, attentive, and good to help with minor order customizations. Food is pretty good, though sometimes bland. Vibes differ depending on the crowd.

Loved the food, beer options, and service. My favorite aspect was that the music wasn't too loud and we were able to easily hold a conversation without being drowned out. Will definitely return!
