Burrito Beach - North Ave

This has been one of my favorite taco spots for years. I love them because they have Mexican street food type tacos, and I really love that. They do collaborations with different chefs to do different variations on the foods that they have. My favorite taco from them is the one that has the fried cheese on it with your choice of meat! I know that I can always come here to grab something that’s going to be good in filling without me questioning how the quality will be!

Treated myself to a little solo lunch date at Burrito Beach and it did not disappoint!
I expected a Chipotle-style vibe based on the setup, but it was honestly way better. The staff was super friendly and attentive—even after I sat down and kept asking for things (extra side of queso, where the restroom was, water, etc.). They didn’t miss a beat!

When they brought out the queso freshly made—it was next level good. Mid-bite, I slipped a $2 tip into the jar and kind of scurried off, but I think the way I did it might’ve come off weird 😅 (like maybe they thought I took something instead??). To clear that up and because I don’t tip for attention or praise, I reached back in my purse, gathered every coin I had, and dropped that in too.

That’s when I heard a warm “thank you!” and a few of them looked over. I told them that was all the cash I had and that the food was amazing—and one of them smiled and said, “Please do [come back]!”

There may’ve been a small language barrier, but the vibe was all love. Left a Google review to shout out the service and the food because it really was that good. I’ll definitely be back 💛

First discovered them at their Ohare location, I haven’t been to this location only ordered delivery but, never disappointed. Portions are amazing, taste amazing highly recommend!

I went here for the $6 burrito day and asked if all the burritos were $6, they said “yes, all the build your own burritos were $6”. I was charged $9 for the steak burrito and they said I should have read the fine print. Lots of false advertising here, I will not be going back.
