This is my favorite coffee in the city. The service is great and they carry some of the best breakfast items around.

Very interesting place for coffee lovers! I have been buying their cafe late and red velvet cake since last year. Until now, I still love this place to have my paper works while drinking my favorite coffee. Your staves are so friendly, and that is one reason why I keep on coming here. Cheers for your success!

Wow. The whole time I was there the counter was run by just one really friendly guy.

A great place to chill out, grab a cup of joe and maybe pick up some moto gear. Yes, some of the tees can be pricey but get over it, the quality and designs are great!

I love CC Ferns! Jeff makes the best vanilla cappuccino in Chicago. This place makes a lot of their own flavors, so you know you're getting a delish drink without 8 pumps of nasty, fake sugars!!! Jeff is also a blast to talk to, it makes my Sunday mornings fantastic. Thanks CC ferns for being an awesome hidden gem with amazing coffee and pastries :)

LOVE CC Ferns! The atmosphere is so warm and cozy and I have yet to be disappointed in a drink. Great place to sit back and get some work done. Probably my favorite coffee shop I have visited since my move to the city!

Visited on a busy Saturday at noon (Jan 18) with my husband for his birthday. I knew they didn't have coconut milk which is my go-to for coffee and when it's not offered I either skip the cafe or expect nothing from my drink lol, but I was so happy when I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk and it was DELICIOUS. Did not expect that. My husband loved his drink too. There was only one barista/cashier and man was he running it! He was friendly, on top of his orders, made my alternative milk latte with art (rarely happens), and kept the line flowing. Bravo CC and barista whose name I wish I had to mention here. The shop is small with tons of people probably writing screenplays for hours so seating can be limited, but worth it for the coffee. I'll be visiting again soon, probs for my birthday haha!

I want to like this place because there are a lot of great things going for it.. but I just can't get past the fact that they repeatedly serve burnt drip coffee. It's a coffee bar, this should be easy!

This place is amazing!! I always get the matchas which are the best I've ever had (they are owned by the same people who own Sawada). It's a great, cozy place to work or write. They also have macadamia nut milk if that is important to you. Hot tip: make sure you stop by the pie shop/diner next door, it's the best in the city.

Coffee is always how coffee should be. Very quaint and unique place. Staff is great, we've made friends here too and can sit here for days. I might be a bit biased, no? :)

My new favorite place to grab a warm beverage and to work remotely. The staff was so welcoming, and I look forward to visiting again. The space feels extremely cozy and inviting. It's like sitting in my own living room, with a cup of tea, and some quiet chatter around me. A few perks: no credit card minimum, plenty of places to sit for an hour or two without feeling like I'm staying longer than welcome. Also, there are a lot of soft surfaces, so sound doesn't reverberate off of hard surfaces like a lot of coffee shops in the city (echoes tend to be a noisy distraction and not a pleasant coffee shop murmur). The minimalism trend in coffee shops create such a distracting noise environment when trying to work and/or have a pleasant conversation. Wow, I sound old, but trust me, I'm a millennial, and this place is music to my ears. The downside is that they are only open until 3pm during the week! I do wish they had some food options (besides doughnuts and pastries), but there's another favorite down the block for when I'm feeling hungry for a meal (Spinning J!).

You will pay more than you will at Starbucks and it's worth every penny. I do not know what makes it so good bc I really don't know much about coffee, but it's amazing. There are so many coffee places now and many don't last so they are doing something right, esp with Spinning J next door. If they could add a few more seats in summer that would be ideal. I highly recommend the Carmel latte with almond milk
