20/10! I absolutely love their avena de coco, and their sandwiches make me feel like I’m right at home.

Beyond the delicious food (and tasty coquito latte and limonada de parcha), I had an AMAZING experience with their catering service. I ordered a mini tray of Puerto Rican pastries for my baby shower, but with all the chaos of the day, I couldn’t find anyone to pick them up while I was setting up the venue.

I called them—almost in tears because I really wanted these pastries at my baby shower—and explained the situation. Even though they were already closed, and the order was fully paid, they went completely out of their way and delivered everything to me.

I might sound a little dramatic, but this was sooooo sweet and meant the world to me. Having a little piece of home for my guests to enjoy while celebrating our daughter made the day even more special. 🤍

Very relaxed and friendly little cafe. The breakfast sandwiches are great, the coffee is even better. Definitely would recommend as a stop if you're in this part of Chicago.

I love coming here with my friend every once and a while and supporting my people. I absolutely love the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich. I'm not trying to exaggerate, but that has to be the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a very long time. The service is great as well.

Super chill spot! Barista greeted me with a smile, took my order, and was very pleasant. They prepared my cafe colao (latte) and bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwhich quickly. Coffee was tastey and the sandwhich was like a pressed sorta, super good! Prices were totally reasonable. I'll definitely come back!

Very friendly Staff and Owners. All the pastries are amazing. Coffee has always been on point. I'm in love with their Tripleta Sandwich and Palcha lemonade.. It's a must try if in the Humboldt Park area..

Always fresh. Amazing pastries and sandwiches. The coffee is amazing - along with their quesito & flan. This place is a stable in the Humboldt Park/Puerto Rican community. Service is always on point and friendly.

I couldn't want anything more out of a cafe. Staff was kind and fantastic, music was bumpin, and you can't beat the quality of the delicious flan for the price. I wish I had a Café Colao back home. You can taste the love in the coffee and food!! Only complaint is they're closed on Sundays but that's me being selfish and they deserve to do whatever they want 🖤🍰☕🇵🇷

Café Colao is a cozy gem in Humboldt Park. I grabbed a 16oz Café Colao Latte and a Bacon, Egg & Cheese sandwich on their fresh-baked bread. The latte was smooth and rich, and the sandwich was hearty and satisfying. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It's a great spot to relax or get some work done. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!
