Salad, steak, and key lime pie dessert were wonderful. But the service is really what made this dinner stand out.

Half our Mother's Day party ordered the Eggs Benedict and the poached eggs were hard. Very disappointing, especially since we waited close to two hours for our food.

1st time coming here, came for an early dinner for my brother in law & my birthday. All the food was delicious. I had the escargot, chicken with mushrooms & potatoes, my husband had the chicken & rice soup of the day and the Touche burger. We all enjoyed our food & would definitely recommend the place. The good service & nice environment. It was a nice day so all the doors were open to the air on the sides.

Our party of three arrived at 4:30 pm on a Thursday, after attending a wake nearby. We were seated promptly near a floor length window that opened up to the outside. We ordered cocktails and a wonderful cheese and meat plate with crackers, fruit and jam for $22, a bargain that easily fed three people. We were also served complimentary french bread with salted butter, a nice bistro touch. We then ordered three entrees and a wonderful bottle of a Cruze-Hermitage red wine for $75, another fairly priced item. The entrees were all below $30 and each of us brought home enough for another meal. We then split the bread pudding which was also large enough to bring some home. We spent a little over 2 hours. We were never rushed and the service was well paced. During our meal, live music was played which was a ice background noise but not too loud where it interfered with our conversation. It was a wonderful meal and I high recommend this restaurant.

The food was amazing. The service was horrible. We had to call the waiter over every time we wanted something. He was up talking with the other staff the entire time not paying any attention at all. We ordered drinks and I had to try to get his attention to order appetizers and salads. Then he never came back to take our dinner or dessert orders or to check and see how anything was. I had to ask multiple times for water refills or ice tea and for butter and bread. Our wine just sat on the bar and we had to ask the waiter to go get it. Live music was also way too loud for conversation.

The food was excellent but the service was horrible. Our waitwr was more interested in talking to his Co workers and while we were not in a particular hurry we were at the restaurant for 2.5 hours. We ordered drinks and he didn't come back. Everytime we needed something I had to call him over. We got our drinks and then he disappeared. I finally got his attention and we ordered our appetizers and he disappeared. Our appetizers were delivered by another staff member to the wrong people. Then we finished our appetizers and just sat waiting again. He never came to check on us. He was at the table next to us and I said excuse me, he didn't hear me. I touched his arm and he said Yes, I said we would like to order our dinner. He said "Oh" like it was a surprise. Mind you we had already been seated for 45 minutes. The night continued on like this. We even ordered wine and it sat on the bar for like 10 minutes and I had to ask for it. Again someone else delivered the food and gave the wrong people the wrong meals. The live music was way too loud as well.

My go to restaurant no matter if it's a date, meeting with friends, or just my family of 4 headed out. Whether it is a special occasion or casual night out, It almost feels like cafe touche can be whatever you want it to be. Consistently delicious food that comes out piping hot. Drinks are good as well. Live music for the extra bonus! Parking isn't a big deal if you arrive a few mins early- at most a pleasant 2 block walk. They also have valet if you want to not bother.

Overall a great time again here! There were many parties waiting when we arrived and there is not much room for waiting so everyone was crammed in at the door. Also the host was not at her station very often for anyone to check in or update on status. We were there at the busiest time so it is understandable. Had a great time, very good meal and service was very good. A little loud at the start but calmed down as the evening wore on. Still a favorite of ours.

Wonderful menu 6 of us and we all ordered something different Everyone enjoyed their meal Rick, our waiter, was most attentive and efficient Very busy, however the manager (Joe) was heavily involved to keep everything moving quickly Read they have a band on Thursday's during the summer, another great draw

First time visit, an evening dinner after arriving to O'Hare. Very convenient and not too far.Had two tasty dishes, salad lyonnaise and poulet limone. The latter had a wonderful lemon citrus sauce with capers and garlic with just a touch of sweetness. Had pomme frites and mushroom ragout as sides. We were surprised that the special for that night was half off on all bottles of wine!

Great local hideaway! I was lucky that a native to the area showed me around as I never would have found it without them. Great classic Chicago atmosphere with a French twist. I ordered what was essentially beef stroganoff (I can't pronounce the French menu name, sorry) and it was absolutely delicious and generously portioned.I didn't get appetizers or desserts but would definitely consider it next time.Keep in mind that prices are going to average around $40 per person.
