Great food with lots of local cuisine, and even a store with local foods next to it. Very friendly and very good food.

This Serbian cafe has rich, flavorful dishes that feel both authentic and fresh. The staff is efficient and attentive without hovering. A bonus: the charming attached grocery store is stocked with regional staples and treats. If you’re looking to try something new or reconnect with Balkan comfort food, this place is well worth a visit.

As a Balkan i would avoid this place. Prices are ridiculously high. For example if you order burek with a service like doordash price ( without tip ) is 33$ ?? For burek seriously ??? Owner is obviously money hungry and I would avoid this place as a response to this absolutely unacceptable customer rip off behavior. Food is usually bland at best and just a bad sample of a real Balkan cuisine back home. Avoid.

Home made sausages, Serbian beer, a flight of brandy, cheerful service... what's not to like ?

The absolute best balkan place ever period!
We came with the kids here and were greeted very nicely.
Food was super authentic Serbian aka balkan. Atmosphere was on point too. There was European people from everywhere here including some Americans.
The Grocery store had it all.

Definitely highly recommend

Traditional Serbian eats with great outdoor seating. Tons of menu options. Don’t forget to shop after your meal and pickup Smoki’s for home.

Casual and comforting Serbian fare with friendly and laid-back vibes. We ordered the Beograd Extra Special platter - a true meat lover’s feast! Highlights included the chevapchichi (especially the ones wrapped in dates), pork sausages, and ham, all very well-seasoned and satisfying. We also added two bureks, which were flaky, buttery, and totally hit the spot. Super hearty meal all around.

The best Serbian cuisine (I'm Serbian). Just like my mother's cooking. When my mom was in the ICU in hospital, she wouldn't eat the hospital food. I went to Beograd Cafe and bought her favorites to go, took a bus to the train to her hospital in Downers Grove. The only thing she would eat was Pasulj from Beograd Cafe. It helped her recover from a collapsed lung due to complications from chemo. I will be forever grateful to Beograd Cafe, and a loyal customer.

Not sure where to start...paid $20 for a burger and bun with no toppings and had to pay an extra $5.50 for side of fries and $4 for side of kaymak (cream spread). This burger meal was $30 and didn't include a drink! No one informed us the fries and kaymak were extra and they didn't ask us how we wanted it cook, it was a hockey puck. Then, the Burek was god-awful. Super greasy, thin and flimsy. The trout was served with all the bones and no one informed us that it's not deboned at all. The mixed sampler plate didn't come with a side at $24. Again, they charged us $5.50 for a side of fries. Also, one small crepe was $5 and they charges us extra for the crepe filling, the nerve! And to pour salt on the wound, when the check came, they didn't inform us that we were responsible for the credit card transaction fee, which came to $9. On top of all that, the table was so small and crowded with food and drinks, my friend accident spilled a full brandy shot, which I might add was $11 each and served in a glass with a stem, making it easy to topple over. Did they offer to replace it for free, no! They wanted to charge us another $11 for a replacement. After spending $300, they couldn't even do that much. The service was dismal, unfriendly and slow as heck. There are better Balkan restaurants in the Chicagoland area, you can skip this one and save yourself time and money.
