Eastern Europeans really know how to take simple, fresh ingredients and turn them into something shockingly good. The Burek is the main attraction, but the small appetizer portions of grilled or pickled or fresh vegetable dishes are so flavorful. Tasty salads, too. Unique cocktails help pass time while you wait for your Burek to be freshly baked. What a lovely experience. The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. It has simple yet elegant and comforable decor. The food was quite delicious and the staff was just wonderful!! I highly recommend it.
Hit this spot every time I visit Chicago. Huge menu, but don’t overthink it. Grab the Beograd Special (or extra special depending on your party’s size), a couple sides, and a rakija flight for a 10/10 authentic experience.
