Very good food, well prepared and not at all skimpy. The chicken tortilla soup is a favorite and one of the best around.
Authentic Mexican cuisine.
Super friendly and attentive staff who makes you feel welcome.
Food was superb, fresh, flavorful and hot. You can tell they put care into everything they make. Place is little congested but compensated with excellent food quality.
My family of four, all agreed that overall it was an amazing experience and will definitely go back.
They have the best margs in the area!!!!! They give a first round of chips and salsa on the house which is plenty (I was with a group of 3). My friends both got the burrito bowl with shrimp which they loved. I had the pastor tacos which were great & both meals came out hot and generous portions. Definitely a staple for a fun girls night out, date night, or simply a fun meal!
I drove all the way from Whiting, IN. The place is super cute, food is delicious and the bartender, Edgar makes the best mojitos and Paloma’s! Gracias Edgar.

The Spanish employee that greets you at the door and take your order I guess if it's to go, he seems a little rude and arrogant.
I don't think he truly knows or wants to provide wholesome hospitality and service with a genuine smile.
The ambience is uncomfortable and scary with people like him that seem to come off as acting macho.
The food is way overpriced.
$8 for one piece of corn 🌽 is ridiculous.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area! The food, service and circuses are outstanding!
Amazing as always! Love going to a place where the servers recognize you and know your favorite marg!!
Man, they continue to impress. Probably the best Guac in the Northern Suburbs, followed by the best server/bartender/host/manager, Manny!
This was my second time visiting and unfortunately, the experience fell short. From having to wait for a table despite having a reservation and then being forced to sit outdoors, to mistakes made to two (of four) entrees, to being served dirty dessert plates... not much went right. However, both our server and a member of management did take the time to speak to us at the end of our night and took steps to make things right - which is very appreciated and goes a long way. The food is authentic and the atmosphere is inviting but the recent popularity may have started to have a negative effect on how smoothly things go there.
El Tapatio continues to serve absolutely delicious food. The service was top notch and we had the best chicken tortilla soup we've ever had, anywhere. Everything is very fresh and flavors phenomenal. The enchiladas con mole poblano were perfect. We hope to be able to return again soon.
