I've been here a few times now. There's no wait for a table, you sit yourself anywhere. Parking on the street, I typically walk no more than a block. Service is good. They serve water in styrofoam cups which I found odd but, water tastes fresh and refreshing. Prices on food are expensive with the average being like $20 for a plate. The food is very delicious. We had empanadas, morocho, salmon and broiled chicken. The portions are massive and the food is very very good. They give complementary platano chips which are always bomb. I'd give this place 5 stars if the prices were a little lower. Highly recommend!

It's the worst Ecuadorian restaurant I've ever been to. The menu was totally overpriced. The person who greets you in was visibly unsanitary and with no smile. He even looked at us with an unfriendly face. After seeing the price of the menu I was outraged because the ample variety of plates for this type of food means that the ingredients are not going to be fresh. It's totally overpriced, and the environment feels like an old, not sanitary place. We didn't even order anything we just left. Not recommended at all. It's sad that Ecuadorian food places like this that don't help raise the real quality of this cuisine. Bummer

The food here is amazing and the portions are very generous! The complementary plantain chips are a plus too. I had the caldo de bagre and I highly recommend it! The fish was perfectly tender and the broth was so comforting and filling. A perfect place to enjoy a warm, delicious meal!

I took my family for a treat of Ecuadorian food and instead if my normal Guatita, I ordered an encebollado. Bad decision as the dish was beyond bad. The dish only had Yuca and barely any tuna aside from being extremely salty. I politely told the owner/gentleman working that I couldn't eat it and gave him the plate. Instead of an apology, he simply walked away from me with an angry face and never offered an exchange for something else during the 45 minutes I was there with my family. The worse moment was when I asked for the check and once again kindly asked if he was charging me for the encebollado that I only try it. He then threw the menu, his note of the order with the receipt which only had prices and no descriptions of what I was paying for. Never have I ever experienced someone being so rude and angry for asking to verify. As a customer in a polite and calm voice I then asked for a box for some of the leftovers from my family and once again he threw it across the table. At this point I didn't want to be there and didn't even verify what I was paying for. Service was simply horrible and will never go back. We had 3 kiddos with us and didn't appreciate how the owner/ employee handled the situation.
NEGATIVE POINTS for service

I went with my husband to eat encebollados, the seasoning was quite unpleasant, everything was watery, etc. I don't recommend going to that place
The payment was in vain

Absolutely delicious, healthy, hearty and filling food. I've only been here twice this month and the menu is extensive and the prices extremely moderate for the quantity and quality you receive.
Last week I tried their lunch special which was a beef stew over rice ? and a salad ? next to it on the same gigantic plate. All the lunch specials are accompanied by a large bowl ? if homemade soup. The broth was very rich chicken ? broth with small round pieces of corn ? meal floating inside. The chicken itself is quite generous in portion and you might find a little bone so be careful and eat slowly ?
The server is extremely friendly and offers some good suggestions. He brings you a basket filled with fried plantain chips and two dips.
Today I chose the garbanzo ? ? ? salade and an order of 2 cheese ? empanadas with an inca cola.
The salad is a perfect size for lunch. My server initially warned me it's not too tiny and not too grande but honestly of you want my opinion it's a very healthy option and quite filling because it comes with freshly sliced avocados ? some onions ? chickpeas and tomatoes ? and is big enough as a main lunch course.
The atmosphere here is so welcoming, cozy and peaceful. The seating is comfortable like your in someone's private home kitchen. I definitely recommend this Ecuadorian Ristorante both for the quality of ingredients and the extremely clean and cozy environment.

My problem is that they almost never answer the phone, I call in the evenings for dinner and they never answer. I imagine the restaurant must be so full that they don't even have time to call back. Well my way. Literally this week I have called every afternoon for chicken broth and no one answers or has the restaurant already closed? Too bad they don't answer calls or return calls, it's like they don't need clients. Today I called twice in a row and nothing was answered. I won't insist anymore!!
