Amazing! The empanadas tasted delicious. I enjoyed the nice conversation while waiting for the food. I will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.
Found this gem by accident and I’m hooked. Deliciousness in a baked, flaky crust. Mole con pollo was my favorite ? but all others were delicious as well. Reminded me of my trips to Pachuca and stoping at the pasterias to pick up lunch. Being greeted by a super courteous and friendly young man tending the café is appreciated since such traits are hard to find nowadays in most establishments. This southsider will definitely be back when in the area.
their empanadas are delicious .. the tinga empanada is my favorite with a nice cold brew coffee w/hazelnut flavor. They also have their own coffee there if you don't feel like making your own , but all in all the place is very nice , VERY clean , food 8s excellent and the staff is so kind and welcoming ..
Great customer service and above all delicious pastes! I tried the mole, tinga, chorizo and cheese and potatoes. I don't know which one is my favorite. Oh and the hot chocolate is on point. Thank you for the bonus history lesson.
Fresh Empanadas from a Local Family Business. What more can you want in Chicago? Amazing staff, Great food, and fast service.
We went here on a slow night and thought maybe the reviews we read that brought us here were exaggerating, but that was not the case at all. The food was delicious.
Empanadas sooo good! And that cucumber water ?
We LOVE these empanadas! They have officially become a staple for our morning breakfast. Their coffee drinks are also fabulous!
The Tinga Empanadas are ???? highly recommended!10/10. ??
Simply amazing! Tried every flavor and loved them all and the green sauce is the perfect pairing. Will definitely be going back soon even if that means +1hour drive from the burbs to the city.

Amazing pastes! You won't be dissapointed. I highly recommend chicken tinga and beef with potatoes. Also, don't forget to ask for their green sauce!
Great food, great service, can't wait to come back.
You guys have to try this place!! I got a variety of empanadas with the green sauce and it was delicious! Don’t forget to try the cucumber water. We went twice within a week. Definí going there again soon.
Family run. Everything is curated, made with love and expertise. Empanadas are baked, stuffed but light, not too bready or heavy. Perfect lunch to grab and bring at the park nearby. Cucumber water simply amazing. Very happy find!
I love there empanadas. But there beef one was a little dry. Otherwise the other ones were great.
