A little expensive but the coffee was okay. All tables were full inside and the outdoor seating experience was not very fun. The space could be a little more spruced up.

I ordered a black iced coffee and a bagel, egg, and sausage sandwich.. expecting that I would have a relaxing late breakfast at Printers Row park. It was the most stale bagel sandwich I have ever paid $10 for, I couldn't even eat it.. a New Yorker would have raised hell at that cafe, but I'm just sharing my experience on google reviews. Clearly there's plenty of other people that have complaints about stale food and health code violations and I regret not reading the reviews. Even my iced black coffee tasted stale af.

Update: The sandwich gave me food poisoning. Don't eat here.

8/24/24 9am- order 2 sandwiches and a muffin. Takes over 20 minutes to receive. Food is approximately 90° fahrenheit. Well below the 140° minimum. Food is clearly reheated from the day before and poorly reheated. Cutting corners to try to turn their overpriced garbage sandwiches. They cut corners to survive the pandemic and are continuing to cut corners at the risk of getting their customers sick!

8/29/24 5:30pm Burger Bar - very similar situation. However this time my wife and I get violently ill!! I go to contact Burger Bar and find out:
A) no way to contact management
B) Cafe Press and Burger Bar are owned by the same company!!!

Long story short, I know that they are doing illegal food handling practices and am working with the Chicago board of health to crack down on these places! Avoid at all costs! Their "group" is called "good eats group Chicago," and they own Burger Bar, Sono, Sociale, Cafe Press, and Charred.

You have been warned!!! But please do your own research. All of their restaurants have many bad reviews that back up my concerns.

I’ve recently had two not great experiences here. Last week Monday (8/5) we went in for some food and coffee. The cashier was clearly overwhelmed with the amount of people to tend to, so we were patient. But she was extremely rude, forgot half our order and left it sitting on the employee counter by the register until I said something about the rest of our order. We were still missing a coffee from our order and had to ask again about it, and she had it sitting in the back counter the entire time we were waiting and just simply forgot about it, even though we were standing there for a good 10 mins. This morning I decided to give it another chance, again, customer service was bare minimum, not friendly employees. I ordered an egg & cheese croissant and was charged for more than what the menu said was the price. The price online is also more money than what is displayed at the restaurant. The sandwich was horrible, dried out and inedible for 10.00. The Caesar salad is also a waste, was tasteless and bland including the dressing. As a south Loop resident for five years this place has done nothing but gone down hill and I will never be back or recommend it to visitors or other residents of the south loop.

For anyone who loves iced lattes, it is delicious. Not too sweet, fully mixed together, and anyone who loved typography or print media, this place is for you. A real gem!

it's definitely french press even if you get a latte so just know that going in. flavors sounded unique but couldn't taste it. also didn't love that i bought two drinks but they insisted the punch card is only once per visit

Very cute place but was sad that our drinks weren't very good. The shots were very bitter and I unfortunately had to throw away both of our drinks. The service was nothing above and beyond but I wouldn't call it bad...just a very average place in my opinion but would rather go elsewhere.
