Always loved the food but recently the portions have gotten smaller while prices have gone up. Went to dine in with my husband and we sat there for almost 40 minutes waiting for food, finally my husbands order arrived, mind you we ordered the same thing. Tables around us who sat after us got their food (they also ordered the same food I did) and 15 min later I never got mine. Mind you I’m noticeably 7 months pregnant. We decided to leave because I was fed up and quite annoyed. My husband went to pay and my food was still not ready. Disappointed with the service.
Unbelievably tasty!
I spend tons of money here. Order and dine in. They are so cheap with everything. I asked for napkins they gave me 2 small napkins. I asked for pique they gave me one pique (salsa-hotsauce) like i even asked to pay for the napkins and the salsa and they still only bring me little portions.
They raised the price but can’t sazón the food right. The rice taste simple and no meat in side of it . Looked like some ones first time cooking arroz con gandulees. Or the chef was mad and didn’t care of the flavor. Gotta keep the chef happy for he can do the food with good sazón . Not worth my $30 like before don’t know if they changed cooks or cut down on the food/season supplies. But raised the price. At least have them cook with flavor. I’m not only person I took ppl there and they said the same . And my review was very helpful too 100 people all tell you that.
Hey there update again 3/3/2025 I went to go buy two plates of jobaritos steak and arroz con gandules man there up there prices again and they shorten the food the jibaritos look like the ones they sell at Humboldt park food truck the rice was way less then before and it came in aluminum man the taste as well didn’t even have taste . Yalll respond and sir everyone has different taste but thoses ppl don’t say nothing because there mad they spend there more on that and pues Lla Que it’s not like u can get a refund . But the OWNER NEEDS TO STOP CUTTING DOWN ON INGREDIENTS ANS UP THERE PRICES!!!Yall are better going to that other spot on archer I believe .
Great variety of quality food. Has progressively gotten better throughout the years. Great place to try Puerto Rican food on the south side. I feel the quality is much better than competitor down the road.
Love the food , always fresh and delicious .
Really good food
Found this place a while back from a TikTok video
First time trying Puerto Rican food and I’ve back multiple times since
Good spot with fair prices, good atmosphere and friendly staff
Only complain is incorrect ETAs with food pickup s couple times but well worth the wait
Fantastic Puerto Rican cuisine.
They have best appetizers and very affordable my favorite is Pinchos skewers and empanadas.
Good selection of drinks
Mojitos with coconut 🌴 🥥
You need to tray traditional drink Coquito (home made)
This place should be packed. The food tastes like home. 🙌🏼🇵🇷I’m so excited to have more PR representation down in my neighborhood. Everything tastes like my abuela and mami’s cooking. Service is great and the atmosphere is so chill. The place to go for PR food on the South Side. 🔥
Restaurantji Recommends
The service is terrible. The people working there don’t care about their customers. If you’re eating in not really a problem but if you’re ordering to go they are so rude! They had a customers food ready for over 30 minutes while they waited for an appetizer. The girl in front at the register treats the uber drivers like they are bothering her.
I order food from here maybe once a month and I’ve never been disappointed! The portions are big the food is delicious I love this place! My go to is the jibarito
Just went to this restaurant and server didn’t accommodate for a party of three. They refused to let us sit in one of the two empty tables for five. Instead, she wanted us to sit In the table in front of the door, which lets in the cold wind. It’s not like they were full. I will never go back to this restaurant!
Great place to come for some authentic Puerto Rican food on the Southside of Chicago . I would recommend the Jibarito dinner with lechon or steak and arroz con gandules platter and Bistec Encebollado dinner (marinated thin beef steak and onions). For dessert the Tembleque coconut pudding. 😋 Buen provecho!
La mejor comida en todo Chicago la recomiendo 100%
