I can’t speak to the food because I couldn’t get served. The one staff member repeatedly told me curtly, “You must wait” while going to various tables of people who seemed liked regulars. Guess they were more important? I just gave up and left after a few minutes, which is a shame because the menu looked interesting. All I had wanted was an iced coffee to go.

We love this cafe because it’s cozy, quiet and smoking is allowed in the back. The service is great and the coffees are delicious. I just wish they’d have some salty options or small breakfast snacks for food, and not just desserts. Thank you!

This place is very quaint/old world. The barista is very nice and accommodating. Nice patio out back, and enclosed patio as well. Interior was a very nice place to sit on a hot day. Subdued lighting and lovely decor, just the right level of A:C. Baklava was wonderful-highly recommend! Be advised. Cash only!

Randomly ended up here on a sunny Sunday afternoon and it’s like ridiculously beautiful and I had never heard of it? Got a coffee for less than 5$ (unheard of in chi) and they have an indoor and outdoor patio. Staff is super friendly and seating is very cozy. This is like my first google review I love this place

Idk how to explain it but this place has a vintage old country feel to it. Relaxing and classic cafe experience. Smokers den in the back also which is pretty rare. I wouldnt mind puffing a short cigar with my cafe of choice next time!

The entrance isn’t welcoming at all. However, don’t let urself be fooled by the cover of the book. The content maybe worthy to try. The Coffee was good and the pastry was better. The only thing is that is only cash. Not so convenient but who doesn’t have $100 in the wallet :). The indoor patio area was impressive (nice seating) and good for those who want to smoke. Bad for those who don’t like to…Overall I would recommend it if you are by the area.

You haven’t had coffee if you haven’t been to Cafe Utjeha! I never was a coffee fanatic until I tried a cup from here and now to say the least- I’m a COFFEE LOVER! The iced caramel latte is a must try definitely makes you want more. The sweets are beyond delicious and they have an assortment for you to try. If you want an amazing cup of coffee, a delicious desert, and a welcoming environment- this is the place for you!
