great variety of flavorful small plates at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is lively, and the staff is friendly and attentive. A perfect spot for a casual yet delicious meal in downtown Chicago

Pretty impressed. Wasnt expecting the level of food. Had the Ropa Vieja plate and soup for dinner, came back in the morning for their Cuban coffee. Great value as well

I used to come here a lot in college but haven’t been back in 10 years. It still lives up, ordered the Ropa Vieja sandwich which is a slow roasted steak with sweet plantains. It was so good. Also ordered a small bean soup, it was lacking flavor. It definitely needed more salt. But it came with a side of warm bread that was awesome.
I definitely can’t wait to come back and order more sandwiches!!

Great ambience, nice Cuban music playing. The ropa vieja was amazing, great combination of flavors with the plantain, meat and beans.

Great coffee spot, with very good Cuban and Latin American food. The cortado is great, and don’t forget to try the cubano sandwich! One of my to-go places, will go there at least once a month!

The El Toro sandwich was pretty dry, not enough pesto sauce for their chicken. Service was fai lr.and quick.

We discovered this little spot located on a side-street just off Michigan Avenue on our walk back to the river from Oak Street Beach. It offers Cuban food, good portion sizes, and excellent service. We enjoyed outdoor seating on a lovely on a September day, but there is plenty of seating indoors as well. I'm not sure if there is an accessible way to get indoors as I had to walk upstairs to access the main dining space so be mindful of that. I would definitely try this!
