I got a cuban coffee
Very kind, patient, and enthusiastic staff. Super yummy food- get the cubano with extra pickles and the morning mule! Internet went down when we placed our order and the staff didn’t realize but handled it beautifully, gave us half off and free drinks. If I lived in Chicago I’d be here every week.

Food is good but it will take you 45 minutes to be served it. Call ahead and take out, never dine in here, service is god awful, especially for the price they charge.
I absolutely love this place, I don’t know what all the 1 star reviews are talking about. I always come here to grab a matcha or coffee and get some studying done. Great service here too, Jordan is the sweetest server and is always making sure everyone’s well taken-care of.

Ordered this for takeout tonight, ropa vieja was literally burnt. Maduros tasted like they came from the freezer I even spit one out because the end of it had this horrible salted taste. Rice and beans tasted like they came from a can. I’ve had this place before in other locations and it was not like that

There were 3 tables taken in the restaurant (we were the biggest one :6 people). They took 40 min (after ordering) to serve us the sandwiches. They forgot one of them. The waitress didn’t say anything and an other 10min passed and she finally gave us the last sandwich.
We actually didn’t wanna tip, or the minimum. But we got charged 20%, written on the receipt.
Yeah, we’re mad. Service was bad and we god charged 20% of tip. Never again

I was with my family and the food was excellent, but the service was really bad. Especially a specific waitress with neck tattoos, she was really rude with her words and used a lot of profanity. Bad service overall.
The food is amazing, but the service that I received from the waitresses was terrible. They talk bad and speak bad words. Terrible service.

$7.50 for a tiny container of rice and beans?!?!. I expected the rice in one container and the beans in another... Rice was so mushy it was like pudding. Beans tasted like out the can. Barely edible. Do not get Cuban food in Chicago. Both the food and the price were gross!! I may be unduly harsh because I grew up in Miami....NOT!!! Complete rip off

The food was good. the service was decently fast. The waiter was very nice, but the waitress seemed pretty unhappy to help us. She smiled with the coworkers, just not anyone she was serving. At least do the bare minimum.
