Been coming here since I was 4yrs old, 48yrs later I bring my daughter to continue the tradition. She look the shrimps but I still love the smelts, fries and crackers from my childhood.

Love this place, but I don’t understand why I can’t get an oyster dinner.

Love this Southside staple. I haven't had the smoked salmon but bought it for someone and they loved it. I typically get shrimp and fish (cod or white). So food with the sauces.

Simply put - Calumet Fisheries is fantastic.
I visited with 20+ friends on a Saturday afternoon and was blown away by both the quality of food and incredibly friendly staff. I wasn't sure what to expect with such a large group, but the entire crew went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience. They helped plan a tasting order to try each fish, and delivered mains and sides to the picnic tables out front as soon as they were ready.
We also lucked out on timing, as fresh pepper & garlic salmon came out of the smoker while we were there. The staff made sure we could enjoy and even educated us on the smoking process.
Favorites: Smoked salmon, stuffed shrimp, scallops.
Already looking forward to returning with more friends soon.

I visited because I saw the No reservations episode and wanted to try the smoked salmon. It was the best smoked salmon I’ve ever had. I’ll be back for more smoked fish.

This place use to be sooo good. We were disappointed, the place looks the same, new owners, warm food and not the freshest!!! We had shrimp, smelt and clam strips. Unfortunately we won't return!

Legendary fish place, everything appears to be deep fried. The catfish dinner was good.

Arrived at 8:40pm to a closed sign when the website & Google maps says 9:30pm closed. Facebook does not indicate their hours at all.
But what made me upset was there were three employees inside standing & chatting (not cleaning, etc) motioning they closed at 8pm.
There are other smoked fish places in the area with more consistent hours & easier to get to locations.
Will not be back due to customer service/inconsistent times; smoked fish and shrimp are good if this place is convenient for you.
Edit: this was on Thursday, the 18th (same day as the published review)
