Finally stopped in after the reopening and was thoroughly impressed. The service was exceptional from start to finish. We were warmly greeted by a smiling and attentive host, Sarah, and both the bar and dining service exceeded expectations. The staff was professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

Pathetic excuse for an overpriced Olive Garden. They started by stripping away all the character and charm from what used to be a photo-lined,
entrance and neighborhood mainstay. What once was the heartbeat of the Gold Coast, now looks like one massive coat check. Then, they packed it with orange vinyl covered furniture. Next, they told the waiters (probably a 1:15 waiter to table ratio) to pretend like they own the place and lead with arrogance to see if anyone notices. We noticed. The manager humiliated our waiter but it did not fix the wait time or the food quality. Our toddler waited a good 45 minutes for his $30+ penne (no high chair an no kids menu) and the burger came out looking like it was removed from a window display. I wouldn’t wish this place on an airport, let alone Rush St.

Anniversary dinner, food is great , not sure how they hire people to work, had a drink at the bar before dinner , bartender made our martinis and then we watched her wash the shakers and utensils , talk to her friends before serving our drinks, good 5 minutes. . Waitress at dinner forgot to serve cappuccinos we ordered and brought the check, Charged for firework with our anniversary desert .

I'm writing my review again because it isn't showing up which is pretty suspicious. I'm rating it 5 stars but I would give it 0 if I could. Short version, SAVE YOUR MONEY. The only good thing about this place is the atmosphere even though the playlist does not make sense. The host with long blonde hair doesn't know anything, the host with short brown hair and hispanic profiled us and refused to seat us. The service is INSANELY slow but the food comes out fast. Old Carmine's was way better, unfortunately another miss in the viagra triangle. Sigh.

Yeah…no. It should’ve stayed closed. Where do I even begin? We visited the restaurant on 2/12. The hosts need to work on communication because we were given different information from them. The girl with the long blonde hair would change her story every time we asked when we could be seated and the short hair hispanic girl gave us an insane attitude. Like if you don’t like your job or customer service. Fun fact, you can quit. Both of them profiled my group and I guess decided we didn’t have enough money to be seated right away. The service? INSANELY slow but the food comes out so fast. The food was fine, nothing spectacular. I heard the old version of Carmine’s was WAY better and I believe it. Just another miss in the viagra triangle. Sad. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the atmosphere is cute but at the same time the playlist made no sense. Save your money!!

Love the lobby bar concept. Service and food were good. Wanted to buy a gift card and they don't have them yet. Went online and they can only mail one? Music was generic. I have so many great memories from the old space so I was very excited to go and sadly left underwhelmed. Will try again and see.
Very impressed.....Food was excellent and our waiter Bruno was very attentive and did not rush us at all.....will be back...
came for my birthday! we had a ball. great music, friendly service, AMAZING food, large portions, and delicious drinks. 10/10 no notes.

Maybe it was because it was the first week back open. Overall, it did not measure up to the old Carmines. 3 of our 4 entrees came out warm not hot.
I’ve never been happier to see a restaurant reopen! It’s been too long. I love Carmines. I crave the eggplant stack (get it chopped) and go out of my way to come and eat that at Carmines.
I recently dined in Yuly’s section and she was fantastic. She was attentive and friendly.
I’ll be back many, many, times.

Excellent food. Atmosphere energetic and excited that it reopened in the Gold Coast. Our mushroom appetizer was delicious. Famous chopped salad did not disappoint. Chicken Parmesan was as good as I remember and the Chicken Vesuvio was perfect. Tiramisu was a good way to finish the dinner . Looking forward to becoming s regular.
