Wow! The wet Italian beef is one my husband continues to talk about and even wanted to go back a second time while we were in Chicago. It is a short walk from UIC which makes it a great deli for pop ins. The Italian ice was also amazing and even their small was plenty
Lived in Chicago most of my life and have had a lot of beefs. This may be the best one I've ever had. Great bread, the jus was perfect, I sipped it at the end, homemade giardeniera, so damn good. Jose and Beatriz were lovely. Their steak taco was fire!!! And house made lemon Italian ice! Get outta here!
So juicy it was completely disintegratingly unmanageable, heaps of tender wafer-thin beef in a toothsome jus with celery slivers, hot roasted peppers, onion and celery salt. Completely delicious. Washed down with brain-freezingly cold lemon and strawberry sorbets. Great flavors, great value 😍
