It’s really good, but there’s a lot of good carnitas in the neighborhood. I felt a little dumb ordering because it seemed like everyone else there’s knew exactly what they were doing except for me. No one was particularly helpful or in a good mood, even when we switched to Spanish. Also, you better REALLY like pork because that’s all there is, carnitas, chicharrones, tacos dorados. You should know what you’re getting into though if “carnitas” is in the name of the restaurant. The guacamole and salsa were really good. It’s a cool experience and everything was pretty good but I’m not really sure what makes this place so much more famous than the others around here.

I want to do today to buy some carnitas and I could have believed that they don't have no more chairs to sit down or tables also when I was going to pay I saw the health department violations this restaurant back in the day was a nice clean place what happened

We were in town for a few shows and we stopped by and were not disappointed. the owner was out greeting every guest and was so kind and even offered us a free chicharrón when he realized we were from out of state! the carnitas were excellent along with the iced cafe de olla. the taste and experience is so authentic. I am looking forward to visiting again next time I am in Chicago!

Came here yesterday with some friends. Glad we made this our first stop! Growing up in a Filipino family, the atmosphere of this place immediately felt familiar as we also grew up eating pork with everything. That sample of carnitas and the chicharron with my botana order somehow brought me back to my Lola’s kitchen!

The BEST Carnitas I’ve had in my life, unstoppable chicharrones, friggin HUGE!! The fattest tacos ever, friendly staff and they let us sample the carnitas…definitely will be back! We did to go and bought some more meat to take home.

So disappointed, drove 20 minutes to get there arrived at 3:50 and was told I could only get chicharrones. Ready to cry, the carnival here is so good and I rarely can get here during g the week.
Owner and staff are extremely friendly and always offer a sample. Have brought family, friends and coworkers here and everyone has asked to come back.
Even my girlfriend who once didn't eat Pork asked me to bring extra meat home and we were still in line 😂😭
