The bartender Nia was great very friendly and made excellent drinks. 🍸 The cocktails were definitely the highlight of the night.
The food was okay overall. We tried the guacamole and the shrimp soup, both decent but nothing outstanding for the price point.
However, what really left us disappointed was the bill. The total was $154 + $15.79 tax = $169.79, which is fine, but when we were ready to pay, there were two payment options:
Total (Cash): $169.79 Total (Non-Cash): $179.79
It was confusing and frustrating to see a $10 surcharge just for paying with a credit card. That really took away from the experience, especially for a restaurant that’s highly rated on Resy and recommended by American Express Platinum.
Overall, great drinks and atmosphere, but that unexpected fee left a bad impression. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return because of that small yet disappointing discrepancy on the tab.
