Nice vibe in this place, although it can get really noisy if there is a party going on.
Our server, Nate, had a nice chill vibe and took good care of us.
The Ginger mocktail was very good.
Brussels sprouts were tasty if a bit overdone. The CBR smash burger was yummy.

I love eating here for breakfast when I’m in Chicago, even when I’m not staying at the royal sonesta. The food and coffee are quite good! The service however is inexcusably dreadful. I keep wishing it will improve but after a dozen visits this year, it remains inattentive and slow. They will take your order, drop your food and drop your check. That’s it. You have to fight to catch the eye of a server for a coffee refill or condiments. It’s so frustrating! The kitchen is amazing and the restaurant is quite nice but it’s all sadly overshadowed by a service staff that is just going thru the basic motions at best and ignoring you at worst. Really should be addressed.

I can only speak to the cocktails but they blew me away and I usually stick to wine! They know what they’re doing and I love that it’s a pretty chill spot in the heart of the River North chaos. Highly recommended for almost any occasion!
Roger was great and gave tourists information at breakfast. Nate was great. He was courteous, kind and informative about the city. Breakfast and dinner were good meals.

One of the best Caesar’s I’ve ever had. Seriously. I added the flank steak. Cooked perfectly medium rare. Homemade dressing. Croutons were out of a box but still fine. Steak and salad were the stars and I would absolutely order that again.
Was here one time before and got the steak frites with upgraded truffle fries. Also cooked well and had great flavor / seasoning.
Both times the ambiance was chill (mid week visits) but has been a cool vibe. I travel to Chicago regularly and this will become a go-to spot.

Atmosphere was nice. We got in easily. Food was ok nothing great. Service was definitely lacking! Food sat on counter in kitchen waiting to be taken to tables for awhile even though restaurant wasn’t busy at all. They have canned soda and charge for every refill of iced tea! We would not recommend.

Cute atmosphere. The menu was limited in listefncoktsols, but they had a full bar. I ordered the steak frites, and the steak was cooked to my standards but not cut up the fires weren’t as delicious as I would have wanted

Ordered breakfast one morning and brunch the next. It was convenient being connected to the hotel I was staying at. For breakfast I ordered the steak and eggs and brunch I ordered the eggs in a basket breakfast sandwich and truffle fries. The breakfast sandwich was phenomenal, hot sauce made it even better. Crispy sourdough, aromatic meat and a sunny side up egg, peaking out of the top of the sandwich. The steak was a ny strip, nothing very special. The chimichurri however was delicious. Definitely a creamier chimichuri as opposed to the “herbs floating in oil” I’m used to but still good. The real star of the show was the truffle fries. Crispy shoestring fries with amazing roasted garlic aioli. My only complaint is the potato wedges that come with almost every meal. Both times I ate there they were greasy and the big chunks were undercooked and hard in the middle. The roasted garlic aioli was the savor for the potato wedges tho. Service was good, food came out pretty fast and everything but the potato wedges kept pretty well in the Togo containers. They also had nice quality disposable napkins with the plastic utensils wrapped in them.
Came by for happy hour. Drinks are almost half off! Old fashion was on point with a walnut bitters. Ran $10 and a glass of Prosecco $7 or $8 I think. Also got the shishito peppers in a saffron aioli and wow!
Went there for NYE and it was a vibe. Great DJs and awesome atmosphere!!!
The plain croissant was one of the best I have ever had.
We had the best experience at CBR for lunch, Edgar was amazing and we hope we have him as our server the next time we are here!
