The food and cocktails were great. The service and ambiance was what made this place mid. Everyone on service seemed not approachable, did not seem to be wanting to be there, and it was hard to flag anyone down for just an extra copy of the menu. Felt almost unwelcome almost.
I called ahead to add a chair to my reservation and specifically asked if this would be possible while keeping our outdoor seating. I was told multiple times that this was fine. However, when we arrived, we were moved indoors without any notice or explanation. This was not acceptable, especially after I clearly emphasized the need for outdoor seating during the call.
I went in expecting a glitzy absinthe bar and was sorely disappointed. The host stand immediately inside the elevator bay was unwelcoming and awkward to wait at surrounded by the dozen people waiting to be seated or waiting for the elevator. The cocktail list is short (with only one absinthe spritzed drink) and the liquor list leaves much to be desired.
