I just went to Chai Asian Bisto last night for dinner with my cousin who visited from Austin, Texas. We are Thai and I have to say the foods there were beyond our expectations, we had chicken satay, chive dumplings, Pad see ew, Lad nar and Boat noodle soup with extra beef balls (not in their regular menu). My cousin was very happy to eat delicious authentic Thai foods in Chicago and we definitely will go back there again.

Parking: There is free parking lot in the back of restaurant, there are also free parking on side street.

Disappointing. Have been going to and ordering from Chai for 20+ years. Placed a large order ($200) for delivery (had guests that wanted Thai food before they went to O’Hare for a flight). Online delivery confirmation said find would arrive by 6:30 pm which would have given plenty of time for my guests to have dinner before the flight. When food did not arrive by 7pm we called and were not given an answer about when the food would arrive. Food arrived after 7:30 pm —by that time my guests had left. In addition, we were shorted an item we paid for…when we called they said they would refund the amount but never did. Food was mediocre at best. Definitely not the quality of Chai in the past.

Update!. New owner which means new recipe. I tasted it today, it's plain no flavor wheres the tamarind sauce, not a balance of meat to noddle ratio, noddles pasted together, minimum vegetables. I asked for extra spicy. Did not follow instruction orders. Paid $30 for 2 lunch special thinking it was the original owner. Sadly back search for a balance of flavor spicy and sweet pad Thai. Don't taste the love!. No longer my favorite place.
Delightful athletic pad Thai, had chicken shrimp. Also their fish is delicious too. I'm a regular now.

If you're looking for delicious and authentic Thai and Asian cuisine in Chicago, look no further than Chai Asian Bistro. Their menu offers a wide variety of dishes, but I highly recommend the moo ping (grilled pork skewers), boat noodles (hearty beef and noodle soup), and kaoh pad (fried rice). Each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner. I highly recommend Chai Asian Bistro!

Pretty good food. Decent prices. Really friendly staff!

Good Vibes

Food was good but everything was in tiny proportions, ordered basil beef and sticky mango rice. I will stick to my usual thai resto called Joys Noodle in lakeview which is consistent with quality and good size proportions for the past 25 years.

We had a really good experience here! Simple restaurant, server was very nice, I really liked every dish we got! Spring rolls and Vietnamese rolls are fresh and delicious. I also think they have great noodle entrees- pad woon Sen was excellent.

We had not visited this restaurant for a while, even though it is in our neighborhood. We ordered take-out for nine dishes, but we were dismayed by the poor quality of the chicken/ meat in most of them. It had an odd and sour flavor that raised doubts about its freshness. It was also very dry and hard to chew. We felt deceived and unhappy by this experience. I would strongly suggest that you steer clear of this place.Brug Chug out?

Parking: They have street parking but I don't know if it was free of paid.
