My visit to Deepak Korean BBQ in Chinatown, Chicago was absolutely terrible. The staff was incredibly unprofessional and made the whole experience uncomfortable. The meat quality was awful — tough, rubbery, and nearly impossible to chew. For a place that advertises Korean BBQ, the food tasted nothing like it should.

What made everything worse was how the staff treated us. They literally stood by our table and pressured us to finish the last pieces of meat, as if we were doing something wrong by not wanting to eat it. I’ve never experienced anything like that in any restaurant.

This place completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun meal. Horrible service, terrible food, and a very disrespectful attitude toward customers. Save your money and go anywhere else.

I had the worst experience at Deepak Korean BBQ in Chinatown, Chicago. From the moment we sat down, the staff was rude and unwelcoming. The meat was extremely chewy and low quality, nowhere near what you expect from a Korean BBQ restaurant.

The worst part was that the staff wouldn’t let us leave until we finished the last piece of meat. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly shocking. A restaurant should never force customers to eat food they don’t want, especially when the quality is already so poor.

Overall, this was the most disappointing dining experience I’ve had in Chicago. Bad service, bad food, and unacceptable behavior from the staff. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone.

This place used to be so good before becoming AYCE, but now things are different. We tried two beef options, one thin cut and one steak, with both being hard to chew. The first plate of pork belly was good, but somehow the second plate was unbearably smelly. The menu is really small for AYCE. With a mandatory 18% tip, no one stopped by to check in on us or see if the grill needed to be changed. The only good part was the appetizers.

Used to be a regular favorite, but the food and menu have gone downhill in the past 6 months. Meat is tough/chewy to the point of having trouble swallowing, multiple sides with moldy vegetables. The “all you can eat” option is now required for $30/person.. The service and atmosphere are still great, but the quality of the food was not what it used to be.

Unfortunately, Daebak has turned into an AYCE place. The quality of the meats is not worth the price. This used to be our favorite spot, even though it was a bit pricey. The bulgogi was terrible. The corn cheese barely had any cheese.

Genuinely the worst unlimited kbbq I have ever eaten in my life. The staff felt more concerned with stopping you from ordering more food than making sure you were having a good time. $30 for unlimited food for 90 minutes BUT you pay a $15 fine if you don’t eat all the meat. The meat is also super bland better off going anywhere else.

After not coming here for quite some time, my husband and I were surprised to see the big AYCE sign at the door but decided to still eat here since we’ve had good experiences in the past.

The place used to be full of customers, with the wait time sometimes up to 45min to an hour. Even though there were only 5 tables dining, it took some time before someone acknowledged we were there and sat us.

The menu we received was extremely limited, with no options of any premium meats or seafood. The waitress was less than attentive and forgot our drinks and failed to mention they were out of the scallion salad we had ordered.

The beef tasted like rubber with some pieces so completely inedible that we had to spit it out. The garlic pork had no flavor and the rice was dry.

Our whole experience there was such a disappointment. It’s sad to say that we will no longer be returning to a place we once really enjoyed.

This place changed for the worse. It used to have great meat, but now it’s all-you-can-eat with poor quality.

The food was terrible, so bad that we couldn't eat it. The waiter had a very bad attitude and asked us to eat it all, otherwise we would be charged extra.

Wow. This place used to be great. A family favorite. But it's taken a severe turn for the worst. Possibly the worst Korean food we've ever eaten. The bonchon were limited and seemed old/reused. The meat was tough/chewy. The service was miserable. Atmosphere sad. And surprisingly we paid more than 50 dollars a head. Can't imagine it will be open that much longer without significant changes.
