$36 for a burrito and enchiladas. First off, I don't mind paying good money for good food but this was a huge disappointment. I've always had good experiences here but the prices are super inflated compared to just a few years ago. $5 for a taco? A plain taco? You've gotta be kidding. My burrito was mostly lettuce, the meat was super dry and barely had a full portion. Barely any rice, almost no beans, and what looked like a spoonful of crema. $14 for a burrito that was basically a salad wrapped in a tortilla. I feel ripped off. I've never wanted to eat more after finishing a whole burrito, so it's crazy to me that a whole burrito still left me hungry. I don't care if they are 24/7 and are one of the only late night options, if you're gonna charge that much for food, it needs to be worth it and it needs to be filling. Never coming here again.

This is a good restaurant. You will like it whether you love liking it or not.

I’ve been coming to Chavas Tacos for over 10 years, and they never miss! The tacos are fresh, flavorful, and consistently great. Open 24 hours, it’s perfect for late-night cravings or an early bite. The service is always quick, though parking can be tricky. Still, it’s worth it every time. A true Chicago gem!

Was nice to be able to get a bite to eat late at night while waiting for my train. Decided to try out the chicken taco dinner, and it was alright-- but I've had better & the same amount of food for a much lower cost at other mexican restaurants. It was ready pretty quick, but the chicken was pretty dry and flavorless so I didn't think it was quite worth the ~20$ price tag, but if I were ever in a pinch in the area I would go again. I was surprised by the prices but figure that it's because it's in Chicago, so I understand sometimes prices gotta be higher to stay open.
So yeah, you could probably find better somewhere else but you'd be alright going here when it's late at night and most places are closed.
I ordered food from Uber eats but cancel within a minute or 2 the most and they still took my money even tho I never received the order never again will I order from here and will definitely let other know about my experience

Just because you're open 24 hours, does it mean you have 24-hour customers is understood, but you can't serve old meat and beans just because it's been sitting there. You should start making your meat fresh, when the order comes in people don't mind waiting for fresh food, but people will mind old food, whether they're waiting or not. Used to be one of my favorite spots but I'm not going back 😞
