HORRIBLE! TRASH!! If you’re accustom to quality food then you’ll know this is WAY PAST POOR SOUL FOOD🤮 The cornbread tasted like cornmeal, water, there wasn’t anything sweet or buttery about it,was gritty & dry! The Mac/cheese was watered down cheese, bland, cheap watered down cheese & it was horrible! The pot roast was just as bad, they used frozen carrots, it may have been one chunk of meat and a few flakes! The dressing was TRASH, cornmeal mixed up, seasoning put in, cooked & IT WAS TRASH! I was given this little bitty container (1/2 teaspoon) of cranberry sauce( I had some @ home so that wasn’t an issue), peach cobbler was a horrible, sugar, maybe a peach & it was trash! I wish I had’ve read the reviews! Only people who never had quality food would accept this being called soul food! TRASH!! HORRIBLE!!! 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
The chitterlings are amazing. The only problem is they give you a little for an expensive price.

I ordered the beef short ribs dinner ??♀️ absolutely no seasoning on my meat. Let's talk about the sides , the yams were nowhere near sweet and undercooked. My Mac N cheese was beautiful but no seasoning, I also ordered a side of dressing again No seasoning . The food presentation is awesome it just needs a little more love ( seasoning) to it

I can there at 615 the said the close the window said close 7 every bad customer and be back please do better thank u
I heard both good and bad about Chef Daddy. I decided to try the chitterlings so I can recommend them to family and friends instead of them waiting to eat me out of a house and home when I cook them. They needed more cleaning and seasoning. I was not impressed. I could see the fat and was bland. The mac and cheese had more egg than cheese. The yams had too much cinnamon and sugar. The quarter chicken was seasoned well and not dry. I ordered mash potatoes and didn't get them but got the gravy on the side instead. Hopefully, if I return for my mash potatoes I paid for, they step their game up...

Absolutely superb! My man and I were trying to get Churches but they were closed down. One of the Chef Daddy’s cooks was outside on a break and told us to come get some soul food, and babyyy, it was indeed some soul food. All of the staff was amazing. Koolaid perfect, greens perfect, cornbread was like how my grandmas family from the south makes it, chicken lightly battered and amazing seasoning. Only regret was they were sold out of the candied yams. My man and I have been thinking about their food all week so we’re getting the yams next time. He got the short ribs and the portions were good unlike some places. Thank you ma’am for telling us to come on in. You can tell they take pride in the food they make there and I appreciate it so I had to show them some love in the reviews.

If you’re searching for comfort food that warms the soul and delights the taste buds, look no further than the one and only Chef Daddy’s. This gem of a soul food restaurant offers an authentic taste of the South, with every dish crafted with love and attention to detail.
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. The rich aromas of slow-cooked collard greens, fried chicken with a perfect golden crust, and cornbread that melts in your mouth instantly make you feel at ease.
The menu is a celebration of tradition, featuring classic dishes like creamy mac and cheese, savory smothered pork chops, potato salad that bursts with vibrant, zesty flavors from the very first bite, and candied yams that strike the perfect balance between sweet and buttery. Let’s not forget the desserts – If you’re on a quest for the ultimate indulgence, look no further than a slice of caramel cake that promises to satisfy every sweet craving. This dessert is more than just a cake—it’s a masterpiece of flavors and textures that come together in perfect harmony.
What sets Chef Daddy’s apart is the genuine care that goes into each meal. You can taste the passion in every bite, and it’s clear that this restaurant is more than just a business – it’s a labor of love. Whether you’re coming in for a hearty lunch, a family dinner, or a quick bite of soul food goodness, you’ll leave with a full belly and a happy heart.
In a world where soul food can often be commercialized or watered down, Chef Daddy’s stands out as a true beacon of authenticity. This is soul food done right, and it’s an experience you won’t want to miss.

Visiting Chicago from Phoenix Arizona and the minute we landed all we heard was Chef Daddys. Everybody I asked said I have to eat at Chef Daddys, so I did. First of all the parking lol I have spent 20 finding a place to park everywhere I go except Chef Daddys, quick and easy parking, easy to find, and actually the door was literally open for me to just walk right on in. Ok now the people/service. I was greeting as soon as I walked in and was asked if I wanted a fried meat so she could get it started before I even order. That’s efficient, fresh, fast service. The food was bomb as hell, I had chitterlings with about 5 sides, everything was really good, I also got Carmel cake but I haven’t tried it yet. I spent $50 and I got basically two meals. I’m definitely going back before I go home. Now the negative, there was a worker that came out to cool off that was touching all over her face and the corners of her eyes and she went back in to make food, I stopped someone and asked them to ask her to wash her hands, they did and she did with no problem. That made me look to see who was wearing gloves and I didn’t see anyone wearing them. I’d like to see gloved hands preparing my food but other than that I love the place. 4 out of 5, get some gloves and it’ll be 5 stars
