Got the chicken chop. It was so, so good, and absolutely worth the price. It was perfectly seasoned, and the texture was so crazy good. I’m definitely going back. Also, the chicken chop is really good to put in a sandwich- soft bread, pickles, some lettuce or cabbage (cut up thinly ofc) with some of the sweet and spicy sauce it comes with. I could’ve made two of those with all the food I got in the 7.99 meal.

I live locally and tried it three times before giving a review. The ‘chicken’ has too much breading. The wonton soup is lacking. Not worth it.

The first time I came to this restaurant, I was just stopping by the closest place to me. I’ve been here a couple times now and I will definitely keep coming! It’s a small, lowkey space, but you don’t want to miss the convenient comfort food this restaurant provides. Huge portions, tasty food, and affordable prices - can’t go wrong with Cheng’s! My favorite are the lunch special deals and the thick fruit smoothies. Come give them a try!

They put menus on people doors… now the menus are trash all around my neighborhood

Less than zero on service and atmosphere. Really cheap with plastic forks terrible attitude - one of my worst dining experiences ever!

You can tell this place is under new management because the wonton soup tastes like they boiled socks in it, there’s no salt or hardly any flavor in the broth. The wontons themselves are pretty flavorful, but I’m confused why there’s an abundance of seaweed? Anyway, if they could bring back the old broth, it’d be amazing, but I’ll be looking elsewhere for my soup.

this has been under new ownership since summer 2025. Just as good as before, maybe better. New ordering kiosk inside is very easy to use. Chicken is cut into smaller pieces where before it was more strips of chicken - I prefer the new method. The kung po sauce was also less thick but maybe a little spicier. Very good. The portion size under the old management was huge, and it might be even bigger now. Its hard to say for sure because they use a much nicer container now than the styrofoam used before. But you get a LOT for your money with the lunch special.

I enjoyed my sesame chicken lunch special very much, it comes with an egg roll and egg drop soup. The technique on the fried rice is excellent, it has the perfect chewy texture with each grain holding its shape, it's not mushy at all and not too oily. The chicken breading is thin and it soaks up the yummy sauce perfectly. Portion size and price are unbeatable, everything tasted great and the staff are so warm and friendly.

I’ve been a customer for years, now they see under new management and it’s disappointing. More expensive, smaller portions, and taste is not the same, the egg rolls not the same . Probably won’t go back.

Veggie Lo mein was overcooked linguine with very little veggies. Definitely not worth it. I think they’re cutting corners to cut cost.

We’ve been getting Cheng’s for years and always loved it, but sadly they are now under new ownership. We got sweet and sour chicken, BBQ pork fried rice, wonton soup, and pork egg rolls like we always do but everything is different.

New owners as of this week. Just really, really disappointing now, this place was my go-to.

Chinese-American bbq pork spare ribs for example, is a classic staple. It’s always the same everywhere - sticky red glaze.

Imagine spending the usual amount and receiving less than a cup of pork rib ends in a nondescript, bland, gray gravy instead.

I’m sad.
