Got the chicken chop. It was so, so good, and absolutely worth the price. It was perfectly seasoned, and the texture was so crazy good. I’m definitely going back. Also, the chicken chop is really good to put in a sandwich- soft bread, pickles, some lettuce or cabbage (cut up thinly ofc) with some of the sweet and spicy sauce it comes with. I could’ve made two of those with all the food I got in the 7.99 meal.
The first time I came to this restaurant, I was just stopping by the closest place to me. I’ve been here a couple times now and I will definitely keep coming! It’s a small, lowkey space, but you don’t want to miss the convenient comfort food this restaurant provides. Huge portions, tasty food, and affordable prices - can’t go wrong with Cheng’s! My favorite are the lunch special deals and the thick fruit smoothies. Come give them a try!
You can tell this place is under new management because the wonton soup tastes like they boiled socks in it, there’s no salt or hardly any flavor in the broth. The wontons themselves are pretty flavorful, but I’m confused why there’s an abundance of seaweed? Anyway, if they could bring back the old broth, it’d be amazing, but I’ll be looking elsewhere for my soup.
